Justin POV
"Justin what's your response to Selena's interview?"
"Justin, Justin over here!" the paparazzi had not gotten of my back since Selena was on the Ellen Show, and told the world about Noelle.
I was on my way to pick up Noelle, I just prayed that they didn't follow me, I needed my room, I also didn't want to have Noelle be practically attacked by the flashes.
I got into my car, when I got a call. My phone began to ring, I looked at the caller ID and was confused when I saw Mandy's name, Selena's mom.
"Hello?" my voice shook.
"Justin, um, Selena really wants to see Noelle. But she doesn't want to call you. So she asked me." I could tell she was nervous.
"Here's the thing, I'm worried, Selena'a been out of the hospital, for what, a week. What happened last time they were alone together? Selena is recovering. I don't want to keep Noelle from her mother, I mean Noelle cries for her everyday. And I can't stop it, but I am not going to let my daughter see her mother hurting anymore. She's gone through enough." the last sentence was almost too true she had seen her parents split up, seen her mom slowly get weaker and weaker, barely seen her father, and then of course seen her mother at her lowest point.
"Please, Justin. Selena is self-destructing, she needs that little girl." she was begging, something I wasn't prepared for.
"Fine, but someone has to be with them at all times, I will drop her off in about half an hour, at Selena's?"
"Ok, I will be there. Thank you, Justin." with that the phone call ended.
I drove to my mom's house, where Noelle was staying while I was in the studio.
"Mom?" I unlocked the door, having a copy of the keys.
"Ya, we're in the kitchen!" I walked towards the kitchen.
"Hey." I greeted.
"Daddy!" Noelle ran into my arms.
"How was your day?" I asked with a smile on my face.
"Good, we ate pancakes and ice cream." Noelle did in a happy voice, I hadn't heard in a while.
"You did? That's awesome. We should get going. Thanks mom. Say bye to grandma."
"Bye." Noelle did as she was told.
"Bye baby." my mom responded.
We left, I took her into my car. Thankfully the paparazzi wasn't there.
I buckled Noelle into her seat, and went around to the front of the car and began to drive.
I didn't tell her where we were going, I couldn't get her hopes up, I didn't know how Selena was feeling or how she would act around Noelle.
After a little bit of driving, Noelle noticed we weren't going our usual route back to the house.
"Daddy, where are we going?" her innocent voice boomed through the car. I didn't know how to respond, I had to tell her sooner or later, but how?
"Baby, you know that you mommy is sick, well she got out of the doctor's and she wants to see you." I tried to put it in the simplest way.
"Is she better?"
"Ya, yes she is." I really didn't know how much better though.
"Yay! I get to see mommy!" she put her little arms up in triumph, that just made me laugh.
We got to Selena's house, and of course there was paparazzi.
"Ok Noe, you see all those people out there, I need you to hold my hand tightly, and don't talk to any of them."
I got of the car and unbuckled her seatbelt, I took Noelle out of the car and put her on the ground, I had to park across the street because the driveway was full. I grabbed onto Noelle's hand while I used my other hand to close the door.
"Justin is Noelle here to see Selena?"
"Are you mad at Selena for talking to Ellen?" the paparazzi was so loud, I could feel Noelle getting uncomfortable as her hand started to move around in my hand. So, I decided to pick her up, hoping it would make her more comfortable, until we got closer to the front door of Selena's house.
I knocked on the door, not wanting to barge into the house. Mandy opened the door.
"Hi." she said simply.
Noelle jumped up in excitement.
"Where's mommy?" is the first thing Noelle said.
"Noelle don't be rude, what do you say when somebody says hi?" I reminded her.
"Hi grandma."'
"Hi, your mommy is in the living room."
"I should get going, call me when I should pick up Noelle."
"Daddy, you leaving?" I could tell she didn't want me to leave, but I had to there was no way Selena and I could stand in the same room.
"Ya, I have to go. Have fun with mommy." I bent down and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Bye daddy."
"Bye Noe."
Selena POV
I heard the front door close followed my the sound of little feet running, bringing a smile to my face.
"Mommy!" Noelle was the happy little girl I knew and loved again.
"Hi Noelle." I giggled.
"Remember your mommy is still getting better, so you have to be careful." my mom made sure that Noelle understood, that I still wasn't one hundred percent.
Noelle got up on the couch with me and cuddled close to me, I placed her carefully making sure She wasn't hitting my incision.
I softly stroked her hair, and after a while she grew quite and feel asleep, my mom was in the room with me, and I asked her to take Noelle to her room, when my mom returned to the living room we began to talk.
"I was surprised that Justin, let Noelle spend time with you." my mom commented.
"Why wouldn't he?" I was confused, my mom never told me exactly how their conversation went over the phone.
"He is worried about you, he said it himself. He's worried about the safety of that little girl." my mom always knows how to shine light on certain people and situations.
"Well it's not like he offered to stay around." I was annoyed, he didn't even say hi, he just left after he dropped off Noelle.
"Honey, he is upset. You revealed something that the two of you worked very hard to keep a secret."
"Whatever, I guess we will have dinner with Noelle, and then you can call him." I was annoyed, and over the fact that I wasn't with my daughter everyday. Is this how he felt all those months without his daughter?
