I walked with the girl who was next to me to the elevator.
"What number?" She asked me.
"Floor 10 please," I responded.
"Nice, that's my floor too. My name is Haley," the girl said. She had long caramel hair and light brown eyes. She was stick thin and had a golden brown tan. Lucky her! I see what Dustin meant by saying that this academy was filled with good looking people.
"I'm Makenna," I told her.
"...And I think we have the same room."
"Really? That's cool! Room 1002?"
"Yup- first one on the right." I said.
"This year is going to be so much fun!" She squealed as she gave me a hug. People here are friendly...I don't see how there could be drama!

She plopped down her luggage on the other bed.
"Mind if I take this one?" She asked.
"No problem. I was kind of hoping you'd take that one," I told her.
"Opposites attract," she said with a shrug. She looked rich. She was wearing Jimmy Choo sandals with a tribal black and white maxi skirt with a cream floppy beach hat. She also had a white tanktop on with a black sweater that had an open back and front.
"So how long have you been attending the academy?" She asked me. As she sorted through her luggage.
"This is my first year," I replied as I plopped down on the bed. It was so comfortable that I sank into it. It was like a big cloud.
"Ooh! Newbie! Usually everyone has been attending the academy for at least a couple of years. Now I get to brag that you were my friend first," she said excitedly as she gave me a wink.
"Actually, that's not completely true...I met another person who came earlier today. He had brown flippy hair and some freckles," I said- I forgot his name!
"Blue eyes?" She asked.
"Blue eyes. Yup."
"O-M-G! You already made friends with the biggest guy on campus! You're friends with Dustin Spade!" She squealed. What was so special about 'Dustin Spade?' Sure, he was cute, but he said there are a lot of good looking people that attended the school too. Obviously he was right, I could tell by looking at my gorgeous room mate that he was telling the truth!
"I don't see what's so special about him," I said in question.
"You DON'T?" She asked.
"We'll let me start off by telling you something- he's charming with the ladies. He plays it smooth. He's like a snake around here..." She added.
"A snake? He seemed really funny and friendly to me," I said.
"Did he say something about you was beautiful?" She asked me. How did she know?
"Yeah, why?"
"Uh-oh. That's the first step."
"First step to what?" I asked eagerly. What steps are she talking about?
"Every year he picks three girls that he likes the most and takes them all out on dates. He has never kept a girlfriend for more than a school year! He usually picks the wrong girl and everything goes wrong," she told me. Well, I guess this was the drama that he was talking to me about.
"Wow," that's all I COULD say.
"Well, all of this thinking is making me hungry. When's dinner?" I asked.
