That's right, I'm turning the 4th level d&d conjuration spell Evard's Black Tentacles into a got damn quirk, fight me. Before anything else this quirk has already been claimed by my friend Legs, who's on art amino,  for an oc so this quirk is taken but can be used as inspiration. Any future quirk ideas that I post are claimable unless I specify otherwise. With that out of the way, let us begin.

Quirk Name: Summoner
Quirk Type: Emitter

General Information: The user is able to summon prehensile tentacles via small misty portals. The tentacles' sizes are variable but are usually dependant upon the task they're summon for. Largest known was 20ft whilst the smallest known was 5ft. Tentacles have shown to be able to be safely summoned as near as directly next to the quirk user to as far as roughly 50ft away from the user.

Passive Abilities: N/A

Active Abilities: The user of this quirk is able to summon and control roughly 10 tentacles, all of which are ebony in coloration. The users control appears to be a sort of psychic connection. The tentacles carry out most any task they're assigned unless they are unable to. These tentacles stay in place until either they're dismissed, they complete the task to the users satisfaction, or roughly 1 hour has passed.

Tentacles have shown to be prehensile and are able to preform tasks such as picking objects up and moving them(surprisingly dexterously) and restraining a person of even amazing strength. They can also be easily used to trip, hit, and slow down an enemy. (Though the quirk user has admitted they usually use the tentacles for menial tasks such as putting dishes away and organizing/cleaning rooms.)

Biological Aspects: After testing it has been established that that the tentacles are not from any known species, nor do they share DNA with the quirk user. Go to the theories section for more.

Other Information: The quirk user has reported that they do not feel any of what the tentacles should in a physical sense (such as pain) but have reported feeling a sense of disconnected loneliness when they aren't in use and extreme joy when they're summoned. It is unknown if these emotions felt are truly from these tentacles or if they're merely a byproduct of a psychological need to humanize them. The quirk user has described the feeling of loneliness as like a fog in a chilled empty room and the joy as sweet licks of warm sunshine beaming down on them.

Drawbacks:
1) As soon as a tentacle is summoned it cannot leave its place. It can reach as far as it is long but its location is set in stone until it disappears and is summoned again.
2) Tentacles more than 50ft away from the summoner(be it summoned there or the summoner walked that far away) become seemingly agitated and prone to lashing out without being ordered to. Though they've also been seen to seemingly preoccupy themselves with completing various tasks until the summoner is within 50ft again.

Weaknesses:
1) Being more than 50ft away from the tentacles is reported by the user to weaken their connection in a way. It makes giving orders more difficult and the connection feel more watered down as the user has put it.
2) As most (seemingly) biological things the tentacles do not enjoy exposure to fire and acidic substances, but seem to ignore extreme cold. They are more resistant to fire and acidic things than expected but they are not immune unlike the cold.
3) Again like most (probably) biological and fleshy things they are not appreciative of sharp objects or being battered with blunt objects.

Theories: Due to lack of DNA similarities to any known species nor the quirk user a few small theories have been created about their origins.

1) The tentacles are merely a byproduct of the quirk itself. They've never been shown to reappear with previous injury so it cannot be determined if they are the same or different tentacles but it is assumed they are different.
2) The tentacles are connected to a creature of unknown species or origin. It may be an undiscovered species of the deep sea that via quirk has gained a connection to the quirk user. It is uncommon but animals have had quirks before.
3) They are connected to a creature of unknown species or origin that is completely in&itself  a byproduct of the quirk.

A/N
I think I'm done here. I may add more idk. If you think something should be changed or whatever lemme know and I'll work on it. If you got a quirk idea you just don't know how to flesh out lemme know cause I'll certainly try. If not I'll probably do more d&d spells until I think up an idea I wanna pursue.
