Draco or my friends. I couldn't believe they were making me choose. I can't do this. The tears swell in my eyes and I subconsciously beg them not to fall. My head is pounding and I long for the happy, warm feeling I felt yesterday with Draco. I close my eyes and remember how it felt. Draco did that. But then my brain floods with memories of Hermione. She's so sweet an supportive. Harry. He always puts himself ahead of me. Ron. A real moron at times but really just an overprotective sweetheart who lets his emotions get the best of him. How am I supposed to just choose? It's not like this is just simply who I'm going to walk away with right now, I know whoever I choose to go with now is who I am ultimately choosing. "Stop." I hear Draco's voice and open my eyes to see him looking at them with a serious expression. "This isn't fair to her. I know we have a less than perfect history together but... I'm willing to put it behind me to keep her happy. If you really cared about her, you wouldn't make her choose like this. Believe me, I'm less than thrilled with the idea of having a civilized conversation with you." He begins to sound a bit hostile, but catches himself, letting out a sigh. "I'm willing to put it behind me." He says, honestly sounding quite desperate. Hermione lowers her head for a moment, then looks up at Draco. "Your right." She says quietly. "What?" Ron says in absolute astonishment. Hermione ignores him and takes a step toward Draco and me. "I'm sorry." She says to me with a small smile. I return her smile and hear Ron scoff. "Harry do you believe this?" Ron says to Harry quietly. "Hermione is right, Ron." Harry says after a moment and also steps forward. "If we really care, we should be happy that she's happy." He says, a little unconvincingly, and looks at me. I still smile at him and he returns a very weak smile and his eyes are glossy. I feel really bad for Harry, but I know with time we'll be back to how we were before. Ron stands there for a moment, shocked and not sure what to do. "Oh, come on Ronald, stop being such an arse. You know you love her." Hermione says with a bit of laugh. Ron smiles a little and roles his eyes. "I guess." He mumbles. I walk over and throw my arms around Ron, just to give him that last little bit of convincing he needs. When I pull away, he smiles and I smile back. "But," Ron adds and I role my eyes "if you hurt her," he says staring into the depths of Draco's soul. "I will kill you." He says sounding dead serious. Hermione and I conceal our giggles and Draco just replies with "fair enough." I smile at Draco with a wide grin and he smiles back just as big.
