Joanne's POV

I was at the abandoned mall again, but this time I was alone. No one else is with me. Why am I here again? The last time I was here, my friends and I ran away because Maggie was here and she ended up murdering Hannah. I don't wanna be here, but how did I end up in here? Did someone kidnap me while I'm sleeping? Is this all real?

Light gray-white fog blends across the floor, tickling my bare ankles. I'm just wearing a gray dress that looks a lot like a nightgown. I don't recall the mall being foggy before - what the hell is going on?

Somehow, I'm on the second floor of the mall. I can see the area where my friends and I saw Hannah's remains being thrown out of nowhere before we ran the hell out of here for our lives. It's all quiet in here - too quiet. I timidly walk around, looking for stairs to get down to the first floor. I eventually spot the stairs in front of me and I pick up my pace a bit. But as soon as I get closer, I can see I can't get down anyway because it's damaged beyond the point of repair and there's no way I can walk on it with falling through it.

I hear some noises in a store on my right. I'm scared to go in there, but something encourages me to walk right in. I slowly walk right into it, scared out of my mind. I try to stop, but my feet refuses to listen to me. It's like if something is pulling me in, trying to show me something. But what?

I hear a small shuffling noise behind me. Too nervous to turn around, I just stand there, breathing heavily. I can feel sweat forming on my forehead and my hands are kinda shaking. But I have to see what's behind me, as the shuffling noise gets louder. Eventually, I turn around. I scream as I see Hannah's remains on the floor, a pool of blood oozing out underneath her. I cover my eyes and look away, whimpering in fear. Oh god, this is too much. That was a stupid mistake I made.

"It only hurts after I saw what she did to me." someone whispers. I look up quickly, as I recognize the voice.

"Hannah?!" I turn around as I mention her name. She's standing in front of me, a pool of blood beneath her feet.

"She won't stop until she get rid of us. Not until she has you." Hannah says in a flat tone. Her eyes are heavy and dark, like if she hasn't been sleeping for a long time. Her bright brown eyes are now the same color as wet soil, it's almost black. I thought she was possessed at first.

"You're dead! I saw you!" I gulp as I keep my eyes on Hannah. She circles me like a hungry lion, her eyes still heavy and dark. She shrugs, "So? I guess I kinda deserved it. It's obviously that there's some history between you and that scary girl who ripped me in half."

"What history? I don't even know her!" I lie. Hannah narrows her eyes at me as she continues, "You sure about that? Oh wait, you don't have to answer that - you do. I can read people like a book, you know."

She's right - she can read people like a book, which explains how she can easily get people to do what she wants. Like getting me to go to the bar with her before.

"What are you talking about?" I try to get the topic to go away, but I can't tell Hannah is not gonna give it up. She scoffs with a small, sad smile, "Oh come on, it's obviously you know this girl. You just won't admit it to us, do you?"

I just stay quiet, not saying anything. Hannah sighs as she shakes her head, "You know you won't stay alive for a long time, though. You can feel that gut tugging at you, telling you to do something. Run away. Hide. Live in fear. Dance with the devil. It's impossible to ignore it, isn't it?"

"I can always get bodyguards!" I comment harshly. Hannah shakes her head again as she looks down. She quietly says, "Not even the National Guard or the Secret Service will protect you from her. She will kill anyone, and I mean anyone, until the path to kill you is clear. She's too powerful to be stopped."
