Sylvia's Pov

I have changed. As I look into myself in the mirror, I can't help but notice the different shade of colors in my eyes. The deep blue I had before vanished like they didn't existed there before. I know it is possible to change eye colors as the time goes by but it doesn't happen over night. My hair is now deep black, same as my pitch black wings behind me. The sharp look I have, the eye catching orange-red like color of my eyes, the black hair, it just doesn't add up normally but somehow I don't find any fault in my features. Like I should look like this always and not the blue eyed and blonde hair. I don't know exactly but I feel like I lost something inside me as I changed some.

I watched someone got robbed and walked away without remorse, watched as someone shot another, watched as someone is about to be ran over by a vehicle but I just remained unmoved. Nothing is invoked inside of me. I lost those feelings. Remorse, Compassion, Pity, Sympathy, even love. The things happened to me the past week, feels like it doesn't matter. The sharp aches on my chest disappeared and replaced by a calm and uncaring feeling. Like nothing matters but my existence.

I turned myself away from the mirror and lay down on my bed. It's been a month and somehow I ended up really far away. I got a small apartment which I am still struggling to pay. I am new and its not easy to find a good paying job with my qualifications. The fact that I am a stranger in these new lands doesn't freak me out like it should be. I live here quietly and hopefully I don't run into trouble.. I should have what I desired now that no one knows me here. Now that I don't have anyone holding me back.

"Sylvia?" Alex, one of my coworker called. I landed a job on a local bank with my astonishing talent for numbers as the manager said but I know my looks have to with his decision. As usual humans always have hidden agendas.

I walked to his desk and stood there starring down at her. She was busy encoding on her computer and her hands were moving like a machine. "What is it?"

I know my choice of words were not polite and somehow self centered but I just don't care what they think of me. As long as they don't mess with me its all better.

"I need" She didn't get the chance to finish what she is about to say because panicking screams from the other side of our desk started. She looked at the direction but I remained uncaring. They can die and I couldn't care less.

Then I saw her paled and stiffen. That got my attention and I turned to my side to see men wearing mask and waving their guns to scare everyone. I closed my eyes and started to feel pissed already. Its only been a month! I just had my first salary and I doubt I would get my second.

"Shut up Bitches!" A man screamed and fired at the roof. "Nobody move and stay down! Stand up and I shoot!"

Everybody got down but the feeling of bowing down and kneeling doesn't sound appealing to me so I remained standing. Everybody's staring at me with wide eyes while Alex kept on pulling my arm to get my attention and get down.

One man in mask approached me and I can already feel his evil intent. "Did I say that too low?" He said in disbelief as he pointed his gun at me. I looked his way and he seem to freeze for a moment before a wicked smile appeared on his lips. "A pretty face... It is almost a shame that I have to do this"

He was about to pull the trigger but I placed my hand on the gun. He paused and looked at me confused before he dropped the gun. He looked at his hand horrified as it burned badly. The smell of burnt flesh filled the air and got everyone's attention to us. The man fell screaming for the burning to stop.
