The night was nowhere close to being young, though your eyes were wide open, unable to catch some sleep. Frustrated, you sat up from your bed, shrugging away the sheets, and walking over to your desk to doodle. It was a habit you had, whenever you had some spare time, bored, or just wished to escape reality.

You were in the midst of shading a drawn lotus flower, until a Tap!Tap! from your window caught your attention. Looking up, you hesitantly approached your opened window, inhaling a deep breath as you got closer. Holding your breath, you took a quick peek, only to meet the glistening stars. Sighing in relief, you started to walk back to your desk, until a voice stopped you on your tracks.

"Can't sleep, love?"

You turned around, and stumbled back, nearly dropping a flower vase. The boy only chuckled at your clumsy actions, before clearing his throat and resuming to lean his back against the wall, arms crossed.

"W-Who are you? Tell me now, or I'll-I'll call the cops!" You threatened, but he only tilted his head.

"Don't know who 'cops' is. But don't worry, I'm a friend."

He pushed his back off the wall, and walked towards you, however each step he took, you retreated. He was well aware of your actions, and he stopped.

"I know of the conflicts with your parents. I could help you escape that-"

"What makes you think I want /your/ help?"

In the blink of your eye, he disappeared from his spot, and reappeared next to you. You felt his hand raising your sleeves, revealing the bruises on your arms and wrists, evident of your parents beating you. With a gasp, you quickly pulled away from his touch, and he shot you a blank look.

"Fine. I'll go with you."

Flying never made you feel so free. The beautiful scenery caused you to forget all the troubles you had to deal with back home. The wind kissing your face brought you nothing but peace, your mind cleared up. It was both surprising, yet terrifying, the things that it could do.

You were slightly disappointed when your foot landed on sand-wait, sand? Glancing up, trees clouded your vision, the scent of nature entered your nostrils. Where were you?

"This, is Neverland. Before I forget to introduce myself, I'm Peter. Peter Pan."
