"It's too early, mother."
Grumbling under your breath, you attempted to ignore the shaking hand on your arm. Why is your bed uncomfortable today?
"Guess again, love."
Your eyelids shot up, glancing over at the arm's owner, before sitting up almost immediately. Unaware of your surroundings, your arm accidentally hit the log, which you've used as a pillow.
"Ouch-!"
Hissing from the pain, you felt tears brim against your eyes, as Pan rushed over to consult, brows furrowed in concentration.
From up close, you received another chance to admire his good looks. Luckily, his attention was on your wound, or he would've witnessed another round of your reddened face.. or so you thought.
"Done staring?"
You gasped, as his head up shot up, his alluring stare, captivated you. Quickly shaking your head, you coughed, returning your gaze to your injury.
"S-So, is it okay?"
Pan blinked, before nodding his head.
"It's fine. C'mon, we outta get that cleaned up."
Shrugging, you stood up from your spot, dusting off the soil and grit, before walking over to one of the lost boys. Pan followed, but something from the log, seemed to have taken his attention.
His eyes widened, breath hitching against his throat. He gave you a quick glance, then back at the wooden log.
Dreamshade.
-
Odd, you weren't paranoid, even if Pan had abruptly left without notice. You felt somewhat safe, even under a surrounding to which he wasn't present. The lost boys kept you company, and everyone else treated you by their best behavior.
With a final tap, the lost boy finished bandaging your wound. You bid him a smile, & a thanks, as he walked off to place the remaining supplies away.
Although, Pan's disappearance was concerning you. Most importantly, why the sudden disappearing act anyway? One minute he was concerned, the next he's gone.
-
"She scraped her arm against a Dreamshade plant? Clumsy."
Pan waved his hand, and in an instant, the said plant swiveled away, revealing a passageway to the antidote. Felix followed, as Pan entered to fill up a container.
"Accident prone more likely."
"You know loving her will weaken you?"
Pan paused, standing up from his position. He licked his lips, before pressing them to a thin line.
Brushing passed Felix, he responded under a monotonic voice.
"I'm willing to take my chances."
-
With a relived sigh, you watched as Pan returned safely, your worries immediately draining down. You stood up, and ran into his chest, engulfing him in a warm embrace.
"Damn it, Peter. Don't ever make me worry about you again."
His face contorted to a look of surprise, before using one arm to wrap around you. Why does he feels this way-?
"I just, needed to get you some water. Drink it."
Pulling away from him, you glanced at the container on his hand, grabbing it, and gulping down most of its contents. He chuckled at your actions, as you wiped your wet lips.
His hand reached over to your cheek, wiping away a spot you've missed, and he actually... smiled.
"Sorry for making you worry, love."
