Wendy had insisted in becoming your company as you walked back to camp. The sun shone brightly, evident that the night has passed, though you haven't returned. Pan would know of your disappearance. You can't simply walk away without a hint for him, he knows the island well enough to memorize it.
With a final push, the moment your foot stepped on the ground, the lost boys almost immediately averted their gaze towards your direction. Wendy followed, as you stepped away from the shadows. Some glanced at her in surprise, but quickly returned back to you. Ignoring the attention, your eyes wandered around for Pan's presence.
"So you know?"
Your head followed his voice from behind, and there you caught him, leaning against the tree with his arms crossed.
"Why haven't you told me?"
"Din't need to; you were almost bound to unfold it anyway."
"I never should've trusted you."
He pushed himself off the tree, and approached you. His eyes pierced against yours, not even bothering to avert his attention towards the freed girl from behind.
He leaned his head closer to yours. Usually his gesture would bring color to your cheeks, but now it only causes for your anger to blossom faster.
"You never should've, I know."
"But- I loved you."
He leaned back, almost as if he was wincing from your words. What is going on with him?
"You shouldn't have loved me either."
"And why not?"
Before you could hear his answer, he was already halfway leaving, his left hand appeared to be gripping his chest in a painful manner.
You felt angry tears roll down your cheeks, and you rapidly wiped them off. He managed to crush your heart with only the use of his venomous words. It was almost as if he was still continuing to play his game,
even if his victory was announced.

His hand clutched his chest, face distorting into a painful expression. He let out a grunt, attempting to almost keep himself in tact. The young boy was breathing heavily, however it helped him reduce most of the pain he'd felt just moments earlier.
Felix abandoned the shadows, and stepped up for Pan to notice. He was raising a brow, lips tugged upwards into a smirk. He knew exactly what Pan was feeling.
"Your love will for her, will only drain your remaining strength."
Pan scoffed, "I knew the consequences for loving her, and I'm willing to face them."
Felix had a look of surprise for a moment, but quickly shook it away.
"How long can you last?"
His gaze averted to Felix, then back at his chest again. With an exhausted sigh, he responded.
"Tonight, until the full moon."
