Michael - 2 year old headspace
Luke - Soon to be Dada

* A story in which Luke comes home a little earlier than poor Mikey expected. *

~

Michael is inside the dryer.

How he got there is all but a blur to him. One minute he was happily drinking grape juice from his sippy and watching Cinderella, and the next he was curled up in the dryer, his entire body trembling.

Luke had come home from the store much earlier than he had said. Something about traffic on the highway. Michael figured he had about two hours to be little. Boy, was he wrong.

The traffic wasn't as bad as Luke had thought. He was in and out of the store within about 45 minutes, and home within the hour. He was in for quite a surprise to see Michael watching a Disney movie with a blue sippy cup in his hands.

Michael had only taken a split second to react. In flash, he was on his feet and down the hallway. Luke was now in a panic.

"Michael??" he called as he ran throughout the house. Luke didn't know what the hell was goin on, but the previous scene was the least of his worries. He needed to find Michael, and calm him down.

Luke stopped abruptly at the sound of sobs. He followed the sound into the laundry room, where the sobs came from inside the dryer. The strong smell of urine hit his nose. He knew something was very, very wrong.

Now, back to Michael. The poor boy was a sobbing mess as he clung to his stuffed lion, Daniel. What a pathetic mess he was, sitting in a puddle of his own pee. Lukey was gonna kick him out. He was gonna hit him. Gonna hurt. Gonna yell. Mikey was a bad bad boy. Bad boy. No. Bad. Icky. Bad.

Michael's thoughts were interrupted by Luke's soft voice. "Mikey? What are you doing in the dryer?"

Mikey gave no response other than a choked sob. Luke was swift in his actions; he reached in and lifted Michael out of the dryer, careful not to touch the wet spots on Michael's clothes. "Mikey, I just need you to breathe for me." Luke said calmly. He would find out what this was all about later. Right now, Michael needed him.

Mikey buried his face in Luke's shoulder. "M'sorry... M'bad..." he mumbled in a voice Luke had never heard before.

"Shhh... No, you aren't bad." Luke assured the blue-haired boy. "You're a very good Mikey. Now, let's get you cleaned up." Luke lifted Michael and carried him to the bedroom.

Everything was starting to click into place. Luke had heard of age regression before, and though he didn't find it overly strange, he'd never suspected somebody he knew would be into it. If Michael had a sippy cup, then he must have more baby supplies somewhere.

"Mikey, can you show me where you keep your things?" Luke asked.

Mikey shakily pointed to the closet. How did Luke know what he was doing?

Luke opened the closet doors, and rummaged around until he found a medium sized box in the corner. He opened it up to find a few more sippy cups, some bottles, a baby blanket, three pacifiers, and some nappies (diapers).

"Oh, Michael..." Luke gasped, feeling his heart sink. How long had the poor baby been hiding this?

Mikey whimpered in response. When Luke tried to set him on the bed, he sobbed again and clung to his shoulders.

"Mikey, you have to let go.." Luke murmured in his ear. "I'm not going anywhere."

Mikey hesitantly loosened his grip, and allowed Luke to place him on his back on the bed. But, when he saw Luke approach him with sweatpants and a nappy, he lost it once more.

"N-NO NO NO NO!" Mikey shrieked, flailing and kicking about, much like an actual baby. "LUKEY NO!" the poor boy was so humiliated.

Not only did Luke discover what he did in private, he was also actually about to put a nappy on him. This was something Michael usually did himself, but he had to admit, he longed for the day he could have a caregiver to do these things for him.

"Shhhh, Mikey, you need to get changed. I'll be quick, I promise." Luke cooed, working quick as he pulled off Mikey's soaked jeans.

And Luke kept his promise. It seemed like only seconds later, Mikey was dressed in a clean nappy with dry sweatpants and a t-shirt. He chewed on his fingers nervously, not knowing what was going to happen next.

"You didn't need to hide this, baby boy." Luke said, running his fingers through Mikey's hair. Mikey looked up in surprise. Why wasn't he kicking him out yet?

"You know, I'm sure Calum and Ashto-"

"NO!" Michael screamed, cutting Luke off. "NO TELL NO TELL!"

"Hey, hey, Michael..." Luke cooed, hushing him softly. "Baby, I didn't mean we have to tell them right this second. But you can't keep this from them forever. It's not right, Mikey."

The boy nodded in response. He knew Luke was right. He sniffled as a tear rolled down his cheek. What would the others think of him?

"I know they'll love you, no matter what." Luke said. "Besides, I know I certainly think it's precious."

"Y-You do?" Michael asked, struggling to keep himself at least half big. "B-but.."

"Mikey, if this is what helps you, that's okay. And I'd love to help care for you." Luke replied, cradling Michael close to him.

"L-Lukey promises?" Michael asked. Luke chuckled and nodded.

"Lukey promises." he replied, wrapping his pinky around Michael's. "But, there's just one thing I need to do..."

Michael wasn't sure that he liked the look on Luke's face. Was he about to hit him? Scream at him? Tell him he was a bad boy?

Michael squeezed his eyes shut, bracing himself for pain.

But, he was surprised when a loud, very tickly raspberry was blown on his tummy. He laughed loudly, and squealed when another one was blown into his neck.

"I had to make my baby smile." Luke grinned, kissing Michael's cheek. Michael blushed and hid his face in the crook of Luke's neck.

He knew everything was going to be okay.

And maybe, just maybe, the others would be okay with his secret, too...
