I looked away from him in complete shock. I never saw him around school. Actually I never saw him anywhere.
"Why the hell you looking like you saw a ghost?" Jessie said over the loud music.
"I haven't"
"Well, I know Jackson is someone from your past but you shouldn't be too scared." She continued, while dancing looking like a complete freak.
"I'm gonna go get us some beers, ok? I gotta breathe." I said and left the spot where she was and made my way to the kitchen.
Getting there wasn't easy when this house was so fucking filled. If one more person walks in this living room the house will definitely fall down. People were making out on top of everything they could find. This shit is disgusting. Next time Jessie asks me why I keep myself apart during school breaks, this is why.
Suddenly Will pops up next to me.
"I lived for the day I'd see this." He said.
"See what, William?" I asked. I knew he was going to mock me.
"You out somewhere on summer break. I'm pretty sure there's a storm coming tonight." He said and we both laughed. Will was my best friend after Jessie, and we are inseparable. We've been friends forever and he really gets me anytime I need to talk.
"Things are about to change, William, and there's nothing holding me back now." I said throwing my best serious face but it didn't worked. Then, he got back to his girl and I got back to my grabbing drinks mission.
I finally managed to find the kitchen and thanks to the inner forces of this universe, it wasn't filled with people. I grabbed two cups from a package that was on top of the table and poured some drinks(that I have no idea what the hell was inside) on mine and Jessie's cup.
"Is this for me?" I heard a familiar voice say and then turned around. Jackson.
"In your dreams. Why are you even talking to me?" I asked, taking a sip from my cup. I was trying to hide how nervous I was but I guess I wasn't doing a good job. I could feel my hands shake while I drank.
"Thought we could be friends. Or more, again." He said and I almost spit everything on his face. He cannot be serious. After everything he put me through, how can he have the courage to come and say something like this to me. I looked around trying to find any way to escape from him and then, I saw the boy from the autoshop. This was it.
"Sorry. I'm here with someone." I said.
"Bullshit. I'm sure you're not." He looked like laughing at me. He knew that I didn't moved on.
"You kidding me right?" I started walking towards the boy from earlier today. He looked really fine dressed in all black. I could even see some tattoos on his arms, which made him look even hotter. "I'm here with him, right, darling?" I got closer to his face and his expression was priceless. He looked so confused.
I don't know where I got my courage from, but I grabbed his face and kissed him. Like really kissed him. In front of Jackson. And this was the one thing I never pictured myself doing.
And then, the unexpected. He kissed me back. He got one of his hands on my neck and the other on my waist. Damn he knows how to treat a girl.
In an instinct, I pushed back. He looked even more confused, but with a funny look on his face. And then, I remembered Jackson was here watching the whole thing. The look on his face was priceless.
"You still haven't convinced me. See you around, Ella." He said, while leaving the kitchen. He knew me way too well.
"Thought you said you weren't easy, Ella."
"I am not. But you sure are. Getting your hands all over me and shit. And now you know my name" I said while getting my cups back. I had to go back to Jessie. "But don't worry, darling, this isn't happening again."
