I opened the front door kinda scared of what would be my parents reaction. Stepped in and saw them on the sofa.
"Where were you, lady?" Mom asked me and I rolled my eyes.
"In an autoshop. My car is making some weird noises" I lied.
"I'm not gonna let you grounded because this would make things worst. But you need to understand that we're your parents." She said. Dad didn't opened his mouth and neither looked at me.
"Got it."

"Four years of friendship and I still don't understand why you keep yourself so away in school breaks." Jessie said opening her car door.
"That's not true!" I said, closing the door by my side.
"It is. The only time you haven't been like this was when you were dating Jackson." She said. Fuck. I don't like to talk about him.
"Can you please don't talk about him?"
"Sorry. I totally forgot." She said.
Two years ago I met Jackson. Same school, same friends circle. He is a real gentleman. But when everything is too perfect, there's something wrong. This is one of the things life has taught me.
Since then, I've been living in the same way. Pretending not to feel alone.
"Its seven o'clock. We gotta hurry, you know how I'm lazy about getting ready and stuff."
Finally we got into her house.
"Where are your parents anyway?" I asked.
"They're on a trip to Colorado. That means I have the house to myself this week."
"This is really not going to work." I said and she showed me her middle finger. Typical.
We went to her room and started to get ready. After changing clothes for what seemed like a month, I finally decided what to wear. I got into my black top, white jeans and black vans. Hair tied up and my usual mascara and red lipstick. Ready.
"I'm wearing heels today."
"Hell no. I'm not gonna be hearing yourself complaining about how your feet hurts in the end of the night." I said.
"You're so rude."

Late as usual. Loud eletronic music playing. Full house. Maybe the whole school is here.
"Stay here, I'm gonna grab something for us to drink." Jessie said and left.
I looked around trying to find any familiar face, and the only thing I could find was Will and a blonde girl on his arms. He saw me and raised his cup greeting me. We've been friends since I moved here.
"I'm back." Jessie said giving me a bottle of beer.
"You really know how to make me happy, sis." I said and then we headed to the middle of the room, where everyone was dancing.
There, I found a bunch of guys from the football team, and Jackson in the middle of them. I stopped looking as long as I saw him.
"He's here."
"Don't let this ruin your night, Stella." Jessie replied and I decided to take her advice. Fuck him.
Let's dance.
We went to the middle of the room where everyone was dancing and there wasn't space at all, but we found some and started dancing together as if we didn't care. The music was blasting and everyone sang along.
I felt eyes staring at me and when I turned to see who it was, I had a surprise. The boy from the auto shop.
