You pulled up on the stockings that you had chosen for the day, "I'm so glad to be going to work today." Roman looked out at you as he brushed his teeth. His forehead creased, "Really?" You shook your head, "No. I was just trying to get myself in the mood for it." He nodded before ducking back into the bathroom to spit, "I forgot it was Thursday already. I can't wait to eat whatever Conway is cooking. It smells amazing!" He kissed the back of your head as he walked passed you to reach the door. You followed him, "Its always nice of him to make us a big breakfast. So, are you going to help Peter look?" Roman hesitated as he turned towards the living room, "Maybe...I don't know yet." Conway smiles as he sees you both, "Good morning, Mr. Godfrey. Mrs. Godfrey. Would you like orange juice or coffee this morning?" After giving him your preference of orange juice, Roman made a phone call, "Hey, I want the blueprints. Yes, the subbasement. Scan and send them to me as soon as possible." You watched him as you took a bite of your eggs, he rolled his eyes at what they had said, "No, it's not going to take a couple of days. You're gonna tell that miserable prick that I need them now!" He hung up, tossing the phone down onto the table.
Just as you were about to ask what was in the subbasement, Miranda walked inside. She threw her bag on the couch before taking a seat at the table. She grabbed some of the fruit from its tray, "Good morning!" The two of you nodded at her. Roman smirked a bit, "Someone didn't come home last night." She shrugged nonchalantly, "I stayed with a friend, and actually for the first time in a couple of days...things are good." Roman raised an eyebrow teasingly, already knowing who it was, "I didn't think you knew anyone in town?" She gave you a pleading look to help her out, "I do now." You started laughing, "He knows it was Peter. I told him last night when he got home." Miranda sighed, "Oh, okay. I wasn't sure if it would be okay." Roman scoffed, "You can do whatever you want. You're an adult." She threw a smirk at him, "That's good to know. It was a really, fun night." You smiled as she continued to talk about how her car might be ready by this evening, "-Are you okay?" You turned to look at Roman.
His forehead was covered in sweat and he had a pale appearance. Immediately you knew he was trying not to attack her for some reason. You reached a hand over to one of his clenched fists, "Roman, why don't you go outside for a minute..." He nodded standing so abruptly the chair fell backwards. He grabbed his coat and put it on as he went out the door. Miranda just stared wide-eyed, "What just happened?" You smiled softly and grabbed the dishes off the table, "It happens. He has panic attacks every once in awhile. Anything can trigger them. He had just had a phone conversation with an employee at work. I'm sure that's what did it." She nodded slowly and then went back to eating. You put on your coat, buckling the wide black belt on it, "So, I'm off to work today. Have some stuff to do and can't stay. If you need anything you can ask Conway or if its an emergency you can call me." She shoved a wedge of orange in her mouth, "-okay, see you later." She waved as you walked out the door.
Roman stood there trembling, wiping the sweat off his brow. You pulled him into your arms, "Roman...it's okay. You are going to be fine." He started to cry softly into your hair, "I don't want to hurt anyone. Why did I have to be born like this?" Before you could answer the two of you heard footsteps approaching. He stopped crying, quickly wiping away the evidence as he turned around. The footsteps halted as Uncle Norman turned the corner to find the two of you. Roman immediately spoke, "I'm sorry. I'm late for a meeting. I really don't have time to--" Norman held out a hand, preventing the two of you from walking past, "Wait, wait, wait. I need to talk to you." You grabbed Romans hand, keeping him calm as you answered him, "Sure. What's up, Uncle Norman." The two of you looked at him expectantly, "I got a call last night from the police. Christina Wendall's corpse was removed from her grave. They found footprints near the body. They're saying it was Shelley." Hearing her name made your heart skip, "Did they find her?" Roman shook his head, "That's impossible. My sister's dead." Norman answered him forcefully, "We don't know that. Not for certain. Anyway, they're...they're out looking for her now." Roman nodded, looking down at the ground, "Does Olivia know?" Norman nodded, "Yeah. Yeah, I spoke with her earlier." We started to walk away when I remembered something and turned back to him, "You said Christina was mutilated. How?" Norman shook his head as re responded, disgust in his voice, "Decapitated. Head was torn in half. Anyway, I'll let you get going." He gently gave a squeeze to Romans arm before starting to walk away. Roman looked after him, "Hey, Norman. That investigator you hired when Shelley disappeared, you should get her back on the case." Norman gave a small smile, "It's already done." They nodded to each other before he got in his car and drove off.
