Mike was extremely depressed after his mothers death, he packed all his things and finally took my offer and when he showed up at my door at 4:00 in the morning I was happy.
"Now we're like roommates!" I cheered but Mike only smiled softly at me.
"Are you sure your mom wouldn't mind?" He asked and right on queue my mom walks downstairs with a small frown on her face.
"I won't mind at all," My mom said coming over to Mike and giving him a big hug, "I am so sorry for your lose, Mike..."
"Me too." Mike whispers but clears his throat and looks around. "Thanks for letting me stay here."
"No need to thank me." My mom says, smiling at Mike and me. "Now go get some sleep- Brandon's room was cleaned up completely so tomorrow morning you can set everything up.."
I grab Mikes hand and rush upstairs and bring him to Brandon's old room. "There's a fan in the closet, and more blankets and pillows in the big drawer." I tell him as he sets his things down on the floor, before I can tell him goodnight Mike comes over to me and hugs me.
"Thanks so much, Dani." He whispers in my ear. "I don't know what I would do without you, honestly."
I give him a sad smile when I back up. "Anything for you, Mike." I say. I kiss him on the cheek and tell him, "Goodnight."
When I get to my room I cried.
Mike doesn't deserve this pain and suffering at all. He's always been a good person and what life is throwing on him breaks my heart. I hate to see Mike sad, I'm not used to it.
When I start to calm down a bit I start to hear soft sobbing from Mikes room and that just makes me cry even more.

The next day after school Noah's mom invites us over for dinner- she apparently found out Mike and Noah are on good terms now so she wants to celebrate. But it's also like a goodbye party for Mikes mom in a way.
"Have you heard from Tom at all?" Mike asks me and I nod my head.
"Going out with him tonight." I say happily.
Mike gives me a big smile and says, "Good. Don't let him go."
I nod my head and smile at Mike. He really like the fact that I'm with Tom now- and maybe I do, too.
"Whats up?" Noah asks once he comes back downstairs to us, he had to change.
Before we can answer we hear loud yelling and laughing at the door, "Hello!" An old deep voice calls out.
Noah's grandparents are here and they brought another couple with them with their daughter- Daisy.
What's a party without Daisy? ...A one I would actually want to be at.
Wait...
Why are Daisy and her parents with Noah's grandparents?
I thought they didn't like her...
----
After dinner I was with the adults cleaning up, Mike went somewhere with this new girl he's been seeing but I never heard of her, and Noah and Daisy are outside under the stars or whatever.
"I can't believe this worked." One of Noah's grandmother told Daisy's mom.
"Me neither." She said. "When I told her about this she went crazy, now that she doesn't know who it is this is just ten times better for the marriage."
"Marriage?" I ask them.
"Yes, Daisy is Noah's bride." Daisy's dad says to me, smiling.
"What?" Noah's mom asks.
