"All people of all ages are now crowding every game shop in every part of the country because of the newly released VRMMORPG game Elementrium: World of Elementalists Online. Thousands of copies of the game was already sold just this last week which made the stocks go out and so now that the second batch of the game has arrived people are now going to game shops to purchase the said wonderful game." Said the News Caster.
I am watching on a news channel and the topic was still the new VRMMORPG game. I already bought one last week but I haven't gone inside the game. It's exam week you see, that's why I can't play right now. My name's Jack by the way. School break is next week and it's already Friday today so I'm planning to dive in the game this evening.
"Hey Jack, you better get yourself ready for school. Enough with the TV, we'll be late for school." John said.
John's my cousin and my bestfriend. We're living together in their house here in Manila. His parents are staying back at our province and we are staying here. We're already Grade 12 students that's why they think we can live on our own now which basically isn't true. We've had a hard time making ourselves get use to this type of setting to keep ourselves alive and not to mention that we're both boys which literally sucks, it's hard for us to do house chores.
"Yeah, just a few more minutes." I answered.
I turned the TV off and went to the bathroom in my room. After taking a bath I put my uniform on and went downstairs to eat breakfast. John was already eating so I hurried up and started eating too.
"When will we dive in the game?" He suddenly asked out of no where.
"Maybe this evening." I said.
"Yeah, good idea." He said. "So let's go home early today and dive in early." He added.
"Ok." I said then finished off my food.
After eating we went outside and got to the car to drive to school, I am going to drive today so I speed up the car and in a few couple of minutes were already at school.
It was a long exam day and it's going to be our last test now. I already finished answering my exam paper but I'm waiting for the signal that our teacher will give us so that we can pass it. To be honest I'm really excited to dive in the game, I haven't thought of a good IGN, even my race, I still don't know what to choose from them. It was said in the manual that our elements will depend on our aura, but how? Can the game see our aura? Well, I don't know exactly and I'm hoping that I'll get a good element.
"Pass your papers now." My teacher said.
We passed the papers to our teacher. I waited for John at the parking lot because he was sent for an errand by one our teachers. After a couple of minutes he arrived.
"Sorry Jack." He said panting
"It's ok dude." I said. "Hurry up and get in the car." I added.
"Yeah, sorry." He said apologizing again.
He got into the car and I started the engine and head home. After I park the car John went running to his room, I think he's really excited that he even forgot about me. As I went inside he suddenly appeared in front of me with my VRHL in his hands.
VRHL or Virtual Reality Head Linker connects your consciousness in the game so it would really feel like you are inside of the game. Once you dive in, your entire consciousness enters the game leaving your body so you need to be in a room where your body would not be in danger as you will be unconscious by the time you are inside. Logging out is the only time you'll get back tl the real world.
"Dude hurry up." He said excitedly.
"Yeah, but wait a minute, I still need to get change." I told him and grab my VRHL from his hands and went to my room.
Few minutes later I went downstairs and John was there, already laying down in the sofa, I think he already dived in.
"He really didn't wait for me." I said with a little laugh.
I lay down in another sofa and put the VRHL then said the words ACTIVATE. Suddenly I felt dizzy and I feel like I am about to throw up, it feels like my insides are turning up-side-down so that's why I closed my eyes. After a few minutes it stopped, I open my eyes again and I was in a White room.
"Welcome to Elementrium dear Player, I am Orion." A man said, he was wearing all white clothes.
"What will be your IGN?" He asked.
I haven't thought of an IGN to be honest so I thought of one first.
"Aisen." I answered, that was the only name that popped up in my head.
"Let me see if the name is not taken." He said then a holographic screen appeared in front of him.
"Is it taken?" I asked.
"It's not." He said. "So Aisen it is." He added.
"Choose your Race." He said.
Then a holographic screen appeared in front of me.
Races:
Human - the most common race and is the most versatile race.
Elf - the most intelligent race and are really good at spells.
Angel - a divine race and one of the races with wings.
Demon - a demonic race and one of the races with wings.
Fairy - the race with the longest casting range and one of the races with wings.
Dragon - the most disastrous race and one of the races wings.
Hybrid - can have two races but is hard to harness. Can be choosen or randomly given.
Races have different abilities but all can use spells and can transfer their elements to whatever weapon they have. Also, races have secret abilities that can be unlocked. Choose wisely!
"Hybrid." I said.
"Chosen or Given randomly?" He asked.
"Choosen." I answered. "I'll go with Demon and Angel." I added.
"Hybrid it is but keep in mind that having two races is very hard to handle." He said reminding me.
"I know." I said.
"Your Element." He said.
A Scanning tool then scanned me and Orion checked his holographic screen.
"Your element is... Unknown." He said.
"What? How can it be Unknown?" I asked.
"Perhaps it's still unknown for now, your element will be known soon." He said assuring me.
"Ok." I said but I know that he knows what my element is, he's just hiding it and I'm sure of it but the question is, why is he hiding it? That, is what I don't know.
"Do you want to customize your avatar?" He suddenly asked making my mind forget about what I was thinking.
"Yes." I said.
A holographic screen appeared in front of me again.
I changed my Hair Color to Black with strikes of Green, then I changed my Eyes to Green and my Skin to Fair.
"Done?" He asked
"Yes." I said.
"Very well, goodluck on your journey here in Elementrium Aisen." He said then suddenly a burst of blinding light shined in front of me which made me close my eyes, and as soon as I open my eyes again I was transported to a place I don't where.
