The Broken Mate

Chapter 10

I slowly walked up the stairs and then down the hall to my room....my old room and stopped once i was in front of the door my hand on the handle.

"you gonna go in?" i barley heard Luke even tho he was right behind me

I slowly turned the handle and walked in surprised at how normal the room looked  it was a scary normal like i just left yesterday the only odd thing was the scent i could smell blood but it wasent mine.... And I couldn't place it it was a familiar scent but I couldn't place where I smelled it before. Quickly I cleared my thoughts of the blood from my mind and went to my closet grabbing a travel bag and suit case and began packing the things I deemed important from my room starting with the photograph of me and my mother that I keep on my nightstand....I packed quite a lot of things.

Luke POV

As soon as we walked into the house I could smell it my mates blood was all over the entire house, you couldn't see it but with my wolf senses I couldn't miss the overwhelming scent of her blood everywhere. I could feel Midnight pacing in my mind he didn't like knowing just how much that bastard of a man hit our mate....she didn't deserve that...why did that have to happen to her. I looked at her as we walked in a look of fear glossed over her face and I could only imagine what is going through her mind so I say the one thing I can think of.

"Don't worry I guarantee he's not here" I speak softly so not to scare her. But she says nothing to me she just walks up the stairs. As we go up and then down a hall I notice pictures line the walls they start out happy, Alexis and a woman who appears to be an older version of Alexis,probably her mother, and her dad they seem happy but as the pictures go on her moms no longer in them and the smiles are gone Alexis and her father are no longer happy in one photo Alexis appears to be about eleven and there is a bruise on her cheek its a school photo and the bruise looks fresh and she looks scared. I look at the ground unable to look at anymore of the pictures.

Soon we stop in front of a door at the end of the hallway the door is white and has 'Alexis' painted on it in pink cursive letters. She reaches for the door handle and stops she stands there for a few seconds before I finally speak to her.

"You gonna go in?" I ask but she doesn't seem to hear me although she does turn the handle and walk in.

The room is cute last time I was in here I didn't really look around...I was alil busy hehe I look around as she goes to the closet and gets two bags and sets them on the bed. Honestly I don't pay attention to the things she's packing cuz a scent hits my nose I'm not happy with, I walk towards her bathroom and without asking I go in and go to the wastebasket in the corner where she has thrown away some of her clothes, I reach down and pick up the shirt taking a sniff and just as I thought it smells of seman and vaginal fluid.....and blood, I look at her.

"Alexis?" I say softly. She turns to me and as soon as she sees the shirt horror fills her eyes.

Alexis POV

I'm packing some clothes when I hear Luke call my name I turn to see what he needs but I'm shocked to see him standing in my bathroom holding the shirt I threw away after.....that day..... I quickly rush over to him and snatch the shirt throwing it back into the garbage.

"P-please leave that in there." I say embarrassed and my voice shaking. His eyes darken a bit as a low growl emits from his lips but he drops it back into the trash.

"What happened? Why does it smell like that?" He asks looking at the floor beside me.

"L-like what?" I ask playing dumb

"Like blood and semen!" He yells obviously agrivated. "W-were you raped?" The question is quiet but with my new wolf hearing I heard pretty easily. But I can't seem to find my voice so I just nod and then whimper as another growl leaves his lips. "Why didn't you tell me? Was it your father??"

"I didn't think it was important and no it wasn't my father." His expression goes blank as I answer.

"If it wasn't your dad then who was it?"

"It was a friend of my fathers but its no big deal please can we just get my stuff so we can go?"

"Yea sure whatever but just so you know this isn't the end of this conversation I will find out who did this to you." He says and then we continue to pack my things and then we head downstairs to leave. I open the door and just my luck there Johnny standing with his fist up like he was about to knock.

"Ah Alexis hey honey." He smiles his weird smile as he lightly caresses my cheek. I whimper and pull away just as I hear Luke growl behind me he pushes past me and shoves Johnny up against the side of the house.

"Don't you dare fucking touch her." I hear him take a sniff of Johnny and then see his eyes go black as he recognizes his scent and his wolf takes over. "You raped her... You took advantage of a girl that couldn't fight back! What the fuck is wrong with you you disgusting pig!" He's yelling at him now and then he punches him in the face before throwing him to the ground and then getting to his level Luke punches him a few more times before a large brown wolf emerges from the trees and growls at Luke. Luke looks up at the wolf. "take this man back to the pack house and lock him up I'll deal with him more later" he says and the wolf nods before picking johnny up and running back into the trees. Luke looks at me and then grabs my stuff before we get into the car I'm to afraid to say anything so we sit in silence as we drive to the house the only thing Luke says to me is one sentence. "Sleep good to night we have a long drive in the morning for a conference and as pack Luna you have to be there." I nod and go to my room and lock it I don't want to talk to anyone.
