I growl knowing it's morning and there's work to do. Papers, files, phone calls, just too much work. I sigh in frustration and push myself up. I brush my teeth and wash my face. I look at my bed for a good 3 solid minutes and then leave. I put on a shirt and leave my sweatpants on. I saw my beta— Brian —about to knock on the door so I smacked him on the back of the head.

"Need something?"

"Not really. Just came to annoy you"

I walk in and already get angry. Papers, phone calls, things needed to be in files, some other stuff that makes me want to punch everyone I see.

"Sure glad I'm beta" Brian says patting my shoulder.

"You will be an alpha one day"

"Yeaaa but today is not that day"

I growl and sit in my chair and start reading all the papers.

"Hey where's your mate? She's pretty"

I growl and choke him against the wall. Restraining my wolf from coming out.

" I didn't mean it like that that man I just wanted to know if she was up or not" He says lifting his hands up in surrender.

I let go of him and put my arms behind my neck. I let out a sigh and decide I need some coffee.

"I'll be right back" I said annoyed. I walk out and head towards her room. I smell the lavender as soon as I'm halfway up the stairs. I get towards her room and hesitate to knock on her door. I hold my breathe and knock anyways.
I hear nothing and get confused. I'm actually being patient come on. I knock again louder and still no response. I start getting anxious and so does my wolf.

" I will break this door down if you don't open it."

I hear her footsteps and then she opens the door. Messy ponytail, earphones in, toothbrush in her mouth.

"Um hi. Just came to check if you were aw-"
She turns red and slams the door in my face.

"She looked cute"

"Stop don't do this right now"

"Would you disagree"

I stayed silent and ignored him. I knock and slowly open the door again and see her about to change. My eyes widened and I quickly get behind the wall. I control my breathing and my canines from coming out. I put my hand against my forehead and close my eyes. I snap them open once I hear her footsteps getting closer. I quickly dash down the stairs and into my office. I see Brian quickly sit up from my chair looking around alert.

" what what what. Are we being attacked? Was there no more coffee?"

I look around the room and saw that I had messed up all my papers when I came in.

"Love the mess you've made"

"Shut up"
