Hello and asalamu alaikum! (=
You guys can call me booh, since that’s preferred over my actual name. Or you could just use, ‘She-who-shall-not-be-named’ (I really hope you guys get this reference, if not I’m just a dork lol).
Anywho, a little about myself…I’m a uni student currently floating through life attempting to get high-distinctions, eat, sleep, fart, and maintain a social life but most of all become the best person I can be to please Allah (swt) and Him alone.
Jokes I never fart! Don’t you guys know girls don’t fart they just blow out unicorns and rainbow fairy dust?
A few random facts about me: I get migraines which sometimes knock me out for days straight, I’m deathly scared of cockroaches, I’ve been to eight countries (Egypt, England, Dubai, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Lebanon and Malaysia), I’m a very sarcastic person and quite controlling too. I’m a person who loves to keep busy and there isn’t one day in the week where I’m just bludging at home.
My goals are to finish off my current double-degree with an honours (in most likely abuse/children/domestic violence of some sort) and then go on to get a third degree in education. You guys are probably thinking ‘what! This girl really wants no semblance of a life’ . Let’s just say that Palestinians value education ALOT and when I say ALOT I mean ALOT. Islam also encourages us to pursue knowledge, so take that!
Another goal of mine which I’ve tried to accomplish through my book, ‘Palestwinians’ is to raise awareness on the current circumstances in Palestine. Once I start talking about Palestine or any country suffering similar atrocities, I won’t stop talking, so beware! I might talk your head off…or blow it off since I’m quite passionate. (Quick prayer for all the people suffering atm, including Palestine, Syria, Sri Lanka, Burma, Afghanistan, Iraq etc)
My book is something I began writing as a hobby, but as I’ve travelled further down the road, it’s become more than just a book to me, where I write and upload chapters. With the support of all you amazing people it’s become a symbol of connectedness, unity, awareness, education and on my part, a slight accomplishment!
‘Palestwinians’ is as @wittycraze phrased it perfectly, ‘a sweet Romantic tale in the midst of horrifying truth’. Check out the summary below!
Similar, to how all of you are helping me achieve my dreams, I too want to help @wittycraze achieve hers, by assisting in building Booklovers_Talk. She’s an awesome and creative interviewer and you guys should definitely check out the interviews she’s done so far.
With an amazing team, I’m sure this will go far inshaAllah! (=
