Jennie carefully examined the girls, who were uncomfortable in her presence. They kept on avoiding her gaze, occasionally keeping their eyes trailed on the ground rather than Jennie. Perhaps, they were intimidated by Jennie.
A table was separating them, Jennie was seated on a stool meanwhile the newcomers sat on the bed.
Their fingers were interlaced together.
Jennie smiled inwardly at their bond, as soon as the older one, Wendy woke up, she bolted out of her room to search for her sister.
Jennie had never lived in the delights that come with living with a family. She has been deprived of that sort of love for years. The deep connection with each other was what Jennie admired the most.
Breaking from her daze and clearing her throat, Jennie caught their attention finally.
"Are you scared?"
She cringed at her straightforwardness but she had no choice than to be directly speaking to them.
They both looked at each other, passing a sideways glance and then looked at Jennie. Shaking their heads, Wendy spoke up, "Just confused."
Jennie passed a warm smile, "You'll get all the answers soon."

"And that's pretty much everyone here. Hope you have the tolerance to stand us." Seungyoon scratched his head awkwardly.
Wendy nodded, nudging Rosé on her arm. She winced but then moved towards her sister. Holding onto her for dear life.
"W-we appreciate that you introduced the individuals but," Rosé trailed off. "We'd like to know why we're here."
Jennie noticed everyone getting tense, not sure how to join up words to form sentences.
So, she decided to do it herself.
"I apologize if I'm gonna be super blunt here and might hurt your feelings but, you know your parents were murdered right?"
Gasps were leaving everyone's mouth one by one. Not expecting Jennie to be straightforward.
"Hey Jennie-" Irene started, being cut off by Wendy.
"Yes," she gritted her teeth. Eyes avoiding gazes.
Rosé was already bursting into tears. Joy rushed to her side and soothed her pain.
Jennie sighed, "We're all victims of pain, guys. That one monster is roaming around, taking lives mercilessly. Not giving a fuck about the outcomes of agony that come with it."
She continued, "M-my parents were murdered too," she inhaled a shaky breath.
"That's why," she looked deep into their eyes. "We've got our members spread in the entire city. We gather people that have no guardians left to look after them. We make them feel at home, the one place they can't return to without recognizing similar faces that taunt their inner demons. Building different plans to demolish that fucker and his every lasting piece."
She stood up from her seat and walked towards the sisters, bending down so she would look up at them, she spoke, "I know it'll be hard to get used to us. It isn't easy to just trust new people but I assure you, you're safe here." She smiled.
Wendy nodded, biting her lip as she moved down and embraced Jennie into a warm hug.
Jennie was shocked but wrapped her arms around her too, "Welcome." She whispered.
Fighting for the same cause, they had a spiritual connection.
Hey guys!
I'm sorry for being so late okay >_<
