The sunlight graced the entire house's walls. Peeking out of a window, Jennie noticed Rosé sitting on the ground, plucking grass. She had a listless expression plastered on her face. She was indeed lost in a daze.

Jennie softened at the sight.

Rosé was a year younger and as pure as water. She wasn't fitting in, no matter how hard she tried. Wendy advised it would've been better if everyone gave her some space.

Her sister on the other hand, was clicking well with everyone. Wendy was socially active, she got along with nearly every member. Everyone stayed up till late at night, having deep conversations or just playing board games.

It was so easy for them to conceal their feelings. Years of loneliness lead them to an isolated body with no feelings. Everyone would put on a smile and act as if they've not been shambled inside.

Turning her attention back to the raven haired girl, Jennie heard soft sobs pierce the air. But the light sobs seemed like the shrill like sound of an animal being slaughtered.

Sighing, Jennie let her hands drop her book and head outside. Taking slow, deliberate steps towards the vulnerable soul, she saw the girl freeze. Realization dawned upon Rosé that her state was visible to a person. She immediately felt like a deer caught in headlights.

Jennie stopped just feet away from Rosé, not wanting to occupy her personal space.

"S-sorry, I'll l-leave-"

"You know, you remind me of myself." Jennie stated, a half suppressed smile on her face.

Rosé sniffled, "How s-so?"

Jennie smiled, bending down and sitting crossed leg. Still keeping a safe distance between the two.

"Exactly seven years ago, my parents were murdered in front of my sight."

As soon as the words left her mouth, Rosé's face took a dark shade and tears rolled down. Jennie unconsciously moved closer, her hand stroking Rosé's back as she whispered comforting words in her ear.

"I r-really m-miss them, J-Jennie unnie." She croaked out.

Jennie's breath was caught up in her throat as Rosé's condition made her heart break.

"What did I ever do to deserve this?" She whispered.

Jennie let silence fall upon them, solitude with two persons present was soothing. It was odd how Jennie got soft over the bare minimum Rosé did. Perhaps, she had that aura swirl between her and Jennie.

"I asked myself this everyday, Rosé. It's not a punishment for anything we did. Everyone has to die, one way or another, sooner or later." She sadly smiled.

"I hoped everyday that my parents rested in peace, isn't it better? They'll stay away from the claws of reality," Jennie finished off with a an exaggerated sigh.

Rosé's eyes trailed down Jennie's body, making Jennie raise a brow. "Like what you see?"

Rosé chuckled, wiping her tears as she spoke, "You've got scars."

Jennie moved her eyes down to her visible scars, she despised her body because of the ashy wounds and scratches.

Jennie nodded, "The killer gave me pain of all sorts."

Rosé grabbed Jennie's hand and interlaced hers. Jennie eyed her actions carefully.

"Please allow me to be comfortable with you, you're the only person I'm not intimidated by." Rosé shyly smiled.

Jennie burst into laughter, "Oh Rosé, They're harmless."

"But still! Jinhwan is so grumpy it's scary." She huffed.

Jennie shook her head, amused.

Rosé's cheeks had a faded pink tint on them. Her eyes were just as beautiful as her face. She could pass as a queen.

"Rosie."

"What?" Jennie snapped back into reality.

"You can call me Rosie, my parents loved that nickname." Rosé beamed her smile.

Jennie grinned, "Let's go eat, Rosie."
