The final bell rings. Finally. I get to spend time with Nathan and get to know him better. Exciting. I've never really tutored people. But maybe I'll get extra credit for it.

I get up from my seat and head to my locker. It's on the second floor. Literally nobody is up here.

"Hey, loser," I hear someone say. I turn around quick and am met by someone I'd rather not. I never really knew his name. But I've run into him a few times.

"Please just go," I say.

"Not until you give me my homework," he says and shoves me against the lockers.

"I-I don't have it," I say.

He takes me by surprise and his fist meets my stomach. I grunt in pain. Then I start breathing harder, it hurts but makes it feel better at the same time.

"Hey, Hayden," I hear someone who I am so glad to see. Nathan. Hayden lets go of me.

Nathan punches this Hayden kid in the face. Hard. Ouch. Looked like it hurt.

"Son of a-" Hayden says and pushes Nathan so hard he ends up on the ground.

Nathan is met with Hayden's shoe to his stomach. He keeps on kicking him. Once hitting his face. Nathan trips him and starts coughing. Blood comes out. Hayden picks him up and throws him to the ground even harder against the lockers. Nathan doesn't get up again.

Hayden starts walking over to me.

"Hey!" I hear Blake say, "Get the heck away from them!" Blake punches Hayden. Then throws him to the ground. I take this time to go over to make sure Nathan's okay.

He's almost unconscious when I get to him. He's definitely got a bruised or broken rib because that blood is from bleeding internally.

He starts to move again. I help him sit up against the lockers. He coughs again. I take a look at the damage. He's hurt pretty bad.

"Hey," I say with my hand on his shoulder, "Easy. You took quite the blow."

"I'm okay," he says moving my hand away with his. He winces. I take his hand gently and take a look. I definitely think it's broken.

"We need to get you to a hospital," Blake says bending down.

"Where's Hayden?" I ask.

"Let's just say I dealt with him," Blake says as his face turns a bit red.

"No, guys," Nathan says, "Really I'm fine."

"Your face is bleeding, you've got a broken wrist, and you're bleeding internally," I state, "You need to get to the hospital."

"I'm not giving you a choice," Blake says, "I'm calling an ambulance.

"I-I-"

"It's okay, don't worry about the cost," Blake says, cutting him off, "I'll take care of it."
