I wake up to the sound of voices and a beeping noise.

"You sure?" I hear Blake say.

"Yeah," Simon says, "I'm sure, get some rest, you look tired."

"Yeah, I haven't gotten much sleep," Blake sighs.

"Blake," I say, "Go."

"Nathan," he says.

"Just go," I say trying to keep tears back.

He walks out, shutting the door behind him. I sit up.

"Hey, hey, hey," Simon says trying to prevent me from sitting up. I push past him, my chest touching his hand. He moves it.

"I'm fine," I say, "But I can't stay here. I need to go."

"Nathan," Simon says, "It's okay."

"Simon, stop. I can't stay okay?!" I shout. I wipe my eyes with my good hand. The other is wrapped and splinted. I mess with the IV, trying to remove it. I wince.

"Here," Simon says moving my hand, "Let me help you." He takes the IV out carefully.

"I-I'm sorry," I say.

"For what?" He asks.

"I-I-I've just never been in a hospital," I say, "And I can't afford the medical bill."

"Don't worry about it," he says sitting on the bed, "But I was told you're gonna need surgery."

"Does that mean I can't work?" I ask.

"Yeah," he says rubbing my arm, "But it'll be okay."

"Thanks," I say.

"Oh good. You're awake. How are you feeling?" The doctor asks walking in.

"I'm feeling good," I sigh.
