Rick

Rick won The Hunting Game. An exceptional feat considering Savacsi Pack had never won the trophy before. Rick came backstage with the trophy to find Nathan waiting for him with a big smile. He hugged him tight and Rick felt a jolt of awareness rush through his body. The game's adrenalin was still running through his system making his senses extra sensitive.

"We are celebrating at your house. Isaac has thrown a party," Nathan announced.

"Of course, he has," Rick said, shaking his head.

"You don't have work today?" Rick asked as he walked towards the changing room.

"I took a leave. You think I would have missed this tournament?"

Rick smiled, his heart filled his joy. Ever since Nathan found out about Rick's feelings it was turning hard to school his emotions. It didn't help that Nathan was just as attentive a friend if not more. He confused Rick sometimes but he was still with Pam so he definitely didn't see Rick as more than a friend.

During the Party, Nathan stood by Rick's side while the team sang and danced in celebration. There was a certain awareness between Nathan and Rick that was hard to miss. Rick took a deep breath to calm down his palpitating heart only to be assaulted by Nathan's musky smell.

"Why are you so tense?" Nathan asked, squeezing his upper arm.

Rick shook his head. "I think I need some air." He walked out of the crowded party to the backyard and Nathan followed.

"You forgot something," Nathan said, standing beside Rick, leaning on the wall and looking at him lazily.

"What?" Rick asked.

"Your winning prize," Nathan said.

Rick frowned.

"I promised you I would give you anything you wanted if you won the game."

Rick's eyes widened with surprise. He didn't forget because he had been dreaming about it for the last four it. It was one of the things that motivated him to win. But he never thought to bring it up for fear of scaring Nathan.

"So what do you want?" Nathan asked.

Rick contemplated, his heart thudding so hard that he felt like he was playing The Hunting Game again. "You won't like what I ask."

"Try me."

Rick waited. The heck...how bad could it be? he could always say he was joking, right? "Kiss me," he blurted out.

Nathan paused. The smile on his face dropped. And his body went stiff.

"Forget it," Rick said, regretting ever bringing it up. He couldn't say he was joking because he wasn't a good actor. He turned around to go back to the party when Nathan shouted.

"Rick, stop."

He ran towards him but Rick refused to stop, too modified to do so.

"Fucking stop, Rick," Nathan yelled, sounding frustrated. Rick was frustrated too, he didn't want to see the look of horror in his best friend's eyes.

Rick froze when he felt hands hug him from behind. One strong arm was on his shoulder while the other one was around his waist.

"I promised you I would give you whatever you want," Nathan said, breathing heavily on Rick's ear. Rick could feel every hard contour of Nathan's body. His wolf stirred at the warmth of another male. But Rick didn't want Nathan to feel obliged, no matter how good this felt. He struggled to free himself even if every part of him wanted to melt in Nathan's touch. Nathan's arms tightened around him more.
