I love the strips of sunlight
that shine through my shutters
and decorate my floor
in dripping rows of glowbut I love them more when they're on you
and they wrap around your body
embracing you with warm ropes
of the intangible, beautiful kindchin tilted towards the window
the soft smile in your cheek
I wish I could charm
like those stripes of warmthwhen you dance, they move with you
paint you with sublime
a spotlight built for your form
in any shape you takeI wish I was bendable
flexible like light
then I think we'd go together
much better than lines of bright
