Dear Diary,
Today in class he finally looked at me! I can't believe it! He actually did! Maybe this means he'll accept it if I invite him to my Alpha initiation ball.
Kammie smiled as Michael, her arranged mate glanced at her and flashed his canines at her in what was presumed to be his famous wolfy grin.
She had been dreading everything ever since her parents told her they were to be married, and that she was to ask him to her announcement party.
Michael was the youngest alpha in town, the one that made all the female wolves stand taller as he passed, all wanting to impress him and possibly win him as their mate.
Kammie couldn't possibly imagine acting so strange just for a guy, but when he was around she felt herself tense as though she knew it was her destiny to be with him, rather she wanted to be or not.
Michael felt the atmosphere in the room shift, as if all the air had suddenly gone hot in a millisecond. Everyone's heads turned as a new girl, short, blonde, and blue eyed, sauntered into the room and shyly smiled as she took in the classroom and all her peers. "Good day, you must be Ms. Nightingale," began Professor Fang as she took the seat closest to Michael, making Kammie a little more uncomfortable than it should have. "I'm sure you'll get aquatinted soon with everyone, but for the time being, I ask that you pay attention to the lecture."
The rest of the day seemed to drag by for Kammie, it was though everywhere she went, there was Vivian Nightingale, the new girl that was a mystery to everyone, including Kammie. She couldn't quite place what was so off about this girl, she appeared a normal girl, but smelt just like everyone else, like a wolf.
After school Kammie walked home, anxious to see the ball of glowing fur that was her sister. Though a werewolf like her family, the youngest daughter named Clarity, preferred her golden furred, beautiful wolf form opposed to her eleven year old human form that she found too petite and doll like.
As she neared her home, a strange feeling came over Kammie, as though something was just waiting for her. She felt as if someone was watching her, closely, but just as soon as the feeling had come over her, it was gone just as soon.
