As they rushed into the ballroom, Kammie realized her sister wasn't by her side anymore. Panicked, she searched around her hurriedly, she didn't like the feeling of not knowing where her sister was. She opened her mouth to call out to Clarity, right as something barreled into her, knocking the wind from her lungs and forcing her to squeeze her eyes shut.
Kammie opened her eyes to see two dazzling blue eyes staring right back into hers. "Clarity!", she screamed as she shoved the tawny wolf off of her, "You could have given me a heart attack! Do you realize how worried I was when I couldn't find you?!"
Kammie's head spun as she took breaths to calm herself. Clarity was okay, she was just trying to have a little fun with her older sister before she had to let some guy marry her and take her away from her. Clarity phased human and hung her head as she kneeled beside Kammie. "I'm sorry..I was just messing with you, I realize you worry about me, since I'm the only sibling you have." Clarity began, but soon trailed off, seemingly lost in thought.
Kammie sighed. She knew she was over reacting, but imagine if something actually happened to her, she wouldn't know how to live with herself if something happened to her baby sister! Clarity laid her head in her sister's lap and looked up at her, pleading with her eyes for forgiveness. Kammie looked at her and softly smiled, she could never stay mad at her sister, no matter what.
Kammie scooped Clarity into her arms and spun her around as the two danced across the ballroom floor, laughing and squealing in delight as their parents walked in. "Having fun dear?", Grace, their mother asked. Both girls laughed and nodded in unison as they continued to dance for their parents, their father Matthew, smiling as he watched his two daughters enjoying each other.
The doorbell rang, and Matthew cleared his throat, signaling for them to stop and go to their rooms. Grace took his hand as they walked to the front door to inquire about their visitor. As they reached the door, their senses began to tingle, something that they weren't sure of what it was.
They cautiously peeked through the peep hole in the door, and stared into the face of a family whom they had grown close with, Max, Hariette, and Michael.
