"So, what happened?" Yuta asked Sicheng, genuinely worried for the other boy.
"W-Well..." Sicheng whimpered in Yuta's embrace. "My friend, Doyoung, sent me a photo of two people kissing, asking if it was Taeyong in the picture. A-At first, I didn't think it was, b-but then I asked him, and he said h-he didn't love me anymore and that he was bored of me already. When I asked why, h-he slapped me and just left me. Then I called you." Sicheng cried more, whilst Yuta cradled him safely in his arms, as if he were the most precious in the world.
"Baby, it's okay." Yuta whispered to him, hugging him tighter. "You don't deserve him, I never liked Taeyong anyway. I thought he would pull something like this, but I hoped he wouldn't hurt you. Turns out, he has no heart anyway."
Sicheng could tell that Yuta was getting annoyed. "Yuta, i-it's okay."
"No, baby bear, it's not."
Sicheng, upon hearing the name, shut up.
"Taeyong is a fucking dick, and he needs to know that."
Sicheng just cried more in his arms.
Yuta sighed, he hated seeing people upset. When Yukhei came in late, crying, Yuta did everything within his power to make sure he was okay, and it was the same thing with Sicheng.
"Yuta..." Sicheng whispered once he had calmed down.
"Hm?" Yuta asked, Sicheng still in his arms.
"Thank you."
"Hm?" Yuta repeated, laughing slightly. "Thanks? For what?"
"J-Just...for everything. Thank you for being there for me, even when nobody else was."
Yuta simply smiled.
"It's what best friends are for." Yuta said, hugging him tighter as they fell asleep, though Sicheng's stomach dropped once he saw Yuta's phone light up.
Yukhei.
It was two in the morning, and he knew that Yuta was a deep sleeper, so he tried to wiggle out of Yuta's embrace to read the messages. He felt bad, but still, it was his fault in the first place.
Baby boy💞:
Hi! I'm sorry for not hanging out with you today, I was taking care of Renjun and Chenle again. I'm sorry! :(
I'll make it up to you tomorrow, I promise, babe!
Good night, sleep well angel! I love you!Sicheng smiled. He wanted a relationship like Yukhei and Yuta had, but every time he tried to date someone, they always ended it because they were bored of him, or that it wasn't working out.
Suddenly, Yuta groaned and Sicheng was brought back into reality.
"Baby, what's the matter?" Yuta asked, seeing that Sicheng's eyebrows were furrowed.
"Nothing." Sicheng smiled.
"You'd tell me if there was, right?"
"Of course,"
With that, Sicheng climbed back into Yuta's warm embrace and woke up again once Yuta's alarm rang in the morning.
Maybe, just maybe, Sicheng could get used to this.
