chapter 3

yesterday me and grant hung out the whole day and everything went really good. we had a good time.

today's Monday.

I rolled out of bed and brushed my hair. I put on a pair of black and white nike running shorts, a tshirt, and a sweatshirt. I pulled by hair into a high, loose pony tail. I wanted to be lazy today.

I walked downstairs, grabbed a granola bar and sat down at the counter. I heard my dad come down the stairs

"hey liv, mornin" he said

"good morning" I said getting up and giving him a hug

"your gonna be late for your bus. have a good day, love you" he said.

I rushed out the door and walked down to my bus stop

I stood and waited for the bus.

as I was waiting I felt a pair of hands on my eyes

"guess who"

the voice was obviously a girl, trying to be a guy.

the only other girl at my bus stop was my best friend, hailey.

"hailleeyyy" I said giving her a big hug

"has grant asked you out yet?" she said, sitting next to me on the sidewalk

I sighed

"nope, I mean I guess I like him but I don't know if he likes me. I mean yesterday we were hanging out and he ditched me when he saw corinne. I mean they were flirting so I like left cause I was upset. then he came to my house to see where I was and told me I should've waited, then I yelled at him and he apologized. I don't know, I think he likes corinne." I said, out of breath

"when I looked up at Hailey she had her eyes open wide and her jaw was dropped

"WHY DID YOU NOT CALL ME" she said

"I don't know, too in the moment I guess" I said giggling

"well next time-"

"hello ladies" grant said, inturupting Hailey

"hey grant" I said, while he pulled me in for a hug

"what's up" he said smiling

"why are you so happy" I said

"I'm gonna ask corinne to be my girlfriend today" he said looking down at his feet

my stomach dropped

"wow, I'm s-so happy for you" I said, starting to feel the years in my eyes.

Hailey just looked mad and was about to say something, but thank god the bus came instead. I ran onto it and took the seat right in the front. grant was gonna sit next to me but thank god Hailey got there first.

"hailey...i thought he liked me" I said frowning.

"I know, me too. I'm really mad. he doesn't like corinne! he cant! he has to fall in love with you!" she said

we pulled up to the school and I darted off the bus

"wait! liv! I have to tell you something!" grant said running up to me.

I don't say anything because I knew if I did I would break down right then and there, so I just nodded.

"I'm going on tour! I'm gonna be doing the thing I love... singing. infront of people. this is my chance." he breathed

"wow that's amazing" I said

"yeah and I can bring a guest! I can't wait! it's gonna be so much fun" he said hugging me and spinning me around.

he out me down and his eyes locked with mine, then he quickly pulled away.

"when are you leaving?" I asked

"two weeks" he smiled

"can't wait" I said and walked into school.

grant saw Corinne and walked up to her. they hugged and then she was looking into his eyes.

he said something and she had the biggest smile on her face, then she wrapper her arms around his neck saying 'yes'

I put my head down and walked away to first period.

every. single. period.

every single period they were walking in the hallways, holding hangs, hugging and giggling. he hasn't said a word to me all day. at all. I can all ready tell this isn't gonna work out.
