"ok who's gonna be my buddy today?" I said
"ME ME ME ME ME ME" grant yelled
"ok ok" I laughed
we pulled up to the park, gave our tickets and went inside. the first ride I layed my eyes on was the hulk ride.
"GRANT LETS GO!" I lagged while taking his hand and dragging him to wait in line for the roller coaster
"you know I hate roller coasters, but I go on them anyways" he said looking very proud of himself
"woah your such a macho man" I said moving up in the line
"yeah, and you know you love it" he said loosely draping his arm over my shoulder
there were only about 50 people In from of us. five rows, four people per row so that's only like two carts we have to wait and it goes so fast.
"graanttttt it's so hhhoootttttt" I said leaning my head on his shoulders.
one cart passed by, letting people out, then putting people back on.
"I'm sorry should I step out of the earth" he said
"that doesn't even make sense" I laughed
"well hopefully this will cool you off" he said and the next cart pulled up. we were getting in, front row!
"ahhh yeaaahhhh" I said as the workers made sure the thingy was secured tight around grant and i, so ya know we wouldn't fall out of the roller coaster
"you ready?" I asked
he shook his head no and grabbed my hand
all the sudden we jolted forward and we reached the top of the drop in about 0.478 seconds...yeah
as soon as we were about to drop grant and I screamed at the same time.
we went down the huge drop, then we went back up and went upside down, then did a couple more fancy spins and the ride was over.
that literally lasted about 30 seconds what the hell
"I'm so glad that was over" grant said as we exited the ride
"what so you wanna go on next?" I asked
"how bout some games" he said, eying the basketball game
"bet you I could beat you" I said nodding towards the basketball game
"your on" he said and we both ran to it
"ok, if you can make 30 baskets In, In one minute, you get the extra large animal, if you get 20 in a minute, then medium animal, ten I'm a minute, small animal, and anything under ten you get a gumball" the dude said
"ladies first" I said
grant rolled his eyes and stepped up
"GO" the man said and started the clock
basket after basket he would make in, it's been 40 seccond and he has 20 done.
*BEEP BEEP* the timer went off
grant ended up making 30/30 in a minute, earning him the extra large animal
now it was my turn
"GO" the dude said and as soon as he said that, I just started sinking them in.
it had been 50 seconds and I had 29 done
I kept taking shots to try and get the last one in, but sadly, I didn't make it. so I got 29/30, earning me the medium animal.
"no fair, your a boy" I pouted
"hey! don't blame it in my gender! blame it on my skill" grant said
we walked up to the stuffed animal person
"what did you guys earn?" she asked
"I got an extra large, and she got a medium." grant said
"ok, let me know what I can get cha" she said
"which one do you want?" grant asked me, pointing to the row of extra large stuffed animals.
"hmmm...how about that one!" I said, pointing to the gigantic stuffed tiger
"sounds good" the lady said and got it down. she handed it to grant and grant handed it to me
"I'll have the medium sized lion please" grant said. the lady handed it to him.
"so, there are fireworks in like five minutes, wanna go see them?" grant asked
"I would love to!" I said, and stared walking to where everyone was to watch them, but he grabbed my hand and started pulling me somewhere else
"where are we going? the fireworks are over there?" I asked
"were going here" he said. we weren't in the park, but just a little but outside of it. we were up on a hill and there was freshly cut grass, and one big tree. there was also one blanket for us to sit on, guess he had this planned. the view we had was amazing! we were looking down on the park.
"it's so pretty up here" I said
"yeah it is" he said leaning back.
the fireworks were being set off very close to us, so all we had to do was lay down and we would see them perfectly.
I watched as one firework went off, a green one. then others followed it. I leaned back on my hands and watched as different colored fireworks erupted.
"hey, can I tell you something?" grant said
"of course" I said turning to me
"well, I've been so busy looking for the perfect girl for me, that I realized the best girl was right under my nose the whole time. olivia, you've helped me through so much, and I really appreciate that. you bring out the best in me, and you help make me a better me. you can always make me smile no matter what. being able to see you brightens my whole say. so I guess what I'm trying to say is, will you be my girlfriend?" he said
I couldn't precedes this all at once
grant finally asked me out
"yes yes yes yes yes" i whispered as I threw my arms around his neck. his arms went around my waist and rubbed my back.
we pulled away but we were still in each other's arms.
he pulled my in and we kissed
I felt the whole zoo in my stomach
as soon as our lips touched, fireworks went off. fireworks as in the kind you watched, and the kind as in sparks.
this was perfect.
