"Ah, I missed this," Valka said, a smile on her face "It's always peaceful on Snoggletog." With Toothless being the new alpha, the dragons on Berk stayed, well at first, other dragons from more lands came too, it was at the point were Hiccup made Toothless another automatic tailfin-much to the dragons dismay- and had him fly off to the mating island.

Though, many were sad that there weren't dragons they soon got over it-partially- and enjoyed time with their family. Even though it was Snoogletog, didn't mean that Hiccup wouldn't be pulled out of conversations to help around the village.

He wanted-no needed to give Astrid her gift. He would start to give it to her but then would be pulled away. What was his gift? No, it wasn't an ax but a ring.

An engagement ring to be exact.

Hiccup nodded to his mothers' words after a while. "Yeah, peaceful." It was night and the moon was shining in their faces. "Well, I better get to bed," Valka stated getting up and Hiccup merely nodded. "Yeah, I'll get there in a minute," he said and she didn't respond, just started walking to their hut.

Getting up, Hiccup began to walk to the Hoffersons hut. Well more like Astrid's moms' hut. The blonde's parents broke their marriage years before Hiccup shot down Toothless that night, so she lived in two huts most her life. Then they moved to the Edge and then she had three. Now Hiccup wanted to make it four.

He knocked on the door to have her moms' new husband, Tovi greet him. "Hey, chief she's up in her room." Hiccup nodded and ran up to her room to find her looking out her window, she turned so fast he swore she got whiplash when the door had opened. "Hey, Hiccup." she cheerfully said walking up to him with a smile. Astrid was still fully dressed, but he didn't question it.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go out for an uh a walk." with a raised eyebrow she agreed and followed him out of the hut.

_____________

"The cove?" Hiccup smiled at her over his shoulder and nodded. He sat down on a blanket and patted the spot next to him, motioning her to sit there. It was silent for the most part. The two of them looking up at the sky enjoying the peacefulness.

"There must be so much up there,"  Astrid said, finally breaking the silence. He turned to face her and nodded. "Yeah...wouldn't it be amazing to just touch the stars, or be on the moon?" Astrid took her eyes off the sky and on him. "Why don't you go up there then?"

"Tried, it gets way colder and harder to breathe." her eyebrows furrowed and her head slightly tilted before nodding. "Weird. I mean I just feel like there's just so much more.....life." he hummed and smiled "I mean I don't know how they would live in conditions like that, but I'm almost positive there is more."

"Does it end?"

Hiccup's eyes were back on the night sky and he shook his head ever so slightly. "I don't think so but we'll never know."  She sighed and pushed her bangs away from her eyes. "Hey, Ast?" she cleared her throat and turned her entire body to face him, and was met with the Haddock standing.

She did the same with a confused look on her face. "Astrid Hofferson, I have something to ask you." her head was slightly raised, her eyes still on him. He took her hands in his and took a deep breath.

"I love you Astrid Hofferson, with everything I have. I want you-no need you to know that. I will give up everything for you Astrid from an invention to my own life," he kneeled, his hands still in her own. Astrid's eyes widened and the biggest smile came across her face.

"We've gone through everything together, you were there when I needed you the most and the least- you've given me things I didn't even know I needed and I want to thank you a million times for that." her lips thinned, the smile never disappearing.

"I want to have a family with you Astrid Hofferson, and by the gods, I want to change that last name of yours." her eyes closed and she let out a small laugh and nodded before he pulled out a ring.

"So, I want to ask you a simple question will you Astrid-"

"Hiccup! Come here quick!" Astrid's face fell instantly. There goes being romantic. The two faced Fishlegs who was blushing and had his hands up defensively. "Didn't know I swear! I'll just uh I'll just go...please don't kill me."

The two watched as he walked away and faced each other again. Hiccup couldn't help but let out a small laugh while Astrid was clearly not amused. "W-Whats so funny?" he shook his head and lightly squeezed her hands.

"Doesn't matter. Now can I ask you that question?" clearly annoyed she smiled again and nodded trying to act like the events earlier didn't happen.

"Astrid Hofferson, will you make me the happiest man in the entire universe, and marry me?"

She pressed her lips together and sighed. "I don't know Hiccup, who is Astrid Hofferson exactly?" he raised an eyebrow in confusion and she just kept going. "I mean all I see is an Astrid Haddock."

"So that's a yes?" he threw her head back with a laugh and nodded "Of course it is, I can't say no to you, you're so adorable." he dramatically gasped and nonchalantly put the ring on her finger "Adorable? I am a hundred percent raw vikingness." he started puffing his chest out and standing up. Astrid let out a laugh and just hugged him.

"Gods Hiccup, never change."
