Epilogue: Meeting of the Messengers

"Look at this," Messenger Gaius said to Messenger Six pointing at the screen of an iPad someone was working on, "'Google announces augmented reality glasses'. Holobands anyone? I'm telling you, this is all headed the same way as the last time." They walked down the streets of New York watching the progress of the human race. They had been having the same argument for years.

"More and more of their past is making it into their genetic memory," Six argued, "the humans have never managed to remember enough of their past until now. Look at that TV series a few years back."

"And they cancelled it after one season. They don't even listen to their own warnings."

"The Cylons will return one day, they managed to record their history. There might be a chance that they will be able to warn the human race."

"Like the Final Five did? Because of course that worked so well."

"Are you two still arguing about that?" a new voice behind them asked. Gaius and Six turned around to see Messenger Zoe standing behind them.

"How did your mission go time traveler?" Gaius asked.

"As if you need to ask. It's all ancient history. I made contact, told Zoe what needed to be said, and got out."

"So what are your thoughts then?" Six asked, "will this loop ever stop?"

"We've been asking that question since the reptilian Cylons made their robot slaves and we still have no definitive answers."

"So synthetic versus organic," Gaius said, "you think that's going to be the way forever?"

"No, things do change," Zoe said, "who knows? Maybe this time it'll be organic versus organic."

"She's got a point," Gaius said to Six, "look at all that's happening now. You've got, genetic engineering, stem cells, cloning. The humans have definitely focused their quest to create life on the organic side this time."

"I still think they'll learn to turn things around," Six said.

"Only time will tell," Zoe said, "it always does."
