I hit Millie. I actually hit Millie.
Shit.
I was aiming at Gaten behind her. I thought I hit him since someone ran to the benches. It was a blur though.
I high fived Maddie since she got this dude named Ivan out.
Then I got hit in the waist. It wasn't hard since I was unfortunately very tall. I turned my head towards the person who hit me.
Sadie.
What the fuck? Sadie's out.
But that's when I saw it. A glassy eyed Millie supported by Sadie.
Sadie looked angry then Hell itself and Millie looked like she hadn't seen the light of day rage in her eyes.
They both sat on the benches next to Gaten.
"Come on Finn get back to playing!" Maddie whined.
"FINN IS OUT!" Mr. Keery said blowing his whistle.
"What?!?! That's unfair he got out by someone who's already out??!?" Maddie yelled.
Mr. Keery just shrugged and pointed to the benches.
"Hey Maddie, who got Millie out?"
"You did, silly!"
"No I got Gaten."
"Troy got Gaten."
"But I aimed for Gaten?"
"Then you must've hit Millie on accident. That's why I high fived you."
Realization hit Finn.
Oh shit. Millie wouldn't want to see him now.
