I was in the parking lot loading all my groceries in the trunk. When I got a text.
Jacob: meet me at skatepark in ten?
I didn't really want to go but I had nothing better to do.
I finished putting the bags in the trunk and walked to open the drivers door.
I took a sip from my ice coffee and fixed my messy bun. I was now sitting in the car fixing my chapstick.
Knock! Knock!
I looked to my window and saw the one and only.
Finn wolfhard.
I rolled down the window.
"Hey Finn."
"Hey Millie. Can we talk?"
"Not now Finn, I have to go somewhere soon."
Finn cocked an eyebrow.
I sighed "who am I kidding. Come in."
Finn stepped into the passengers seat.
"Maddie broke up with me."
"Oh, um. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. I just wanted to ask you something."
"Shoot Finn."
"Can we start over?"
I stopped at the stop sign. I turned to look at Finn.
"Why?"
"I realized Maddie wasn't the one. And I know you'll never trust me again. But can we start over and pretend nothing happened?" Finns eyes were pleading.
"Why should I believe you?" Millie said continuing to drive.
"Because, we're friends, you have to trust me." Finn was pouting.
Millie sighed. "Okay, fine."
Finn flashed her a toothy grin. "Great! First let me take you out for ice cream, my treat!"
Millie shook her head. "I'm already going with Jacob after I unload my groceries."
Finn cocked an eyebrow once more. "Do you really want to go with him?"
Millie sighed. "No."
Finn grinned. "Great cancel and come with me."
Millie smiled. She finally gave in to Finn.
