Joey's POV
It's been some time.. and it's been kinda awkward around Jana.. she doesn't seem to want to talk to me now.. she just ignores me... is she fed up with me? Or is she just plain sad?? I don't know anymore... does she like me? Or does she hate me? Or is it just in between? Ugh. I have to make this right or I'll never have a chance.. I'll ask her straight tomorrow..
(The next day in school..)
Hmm.. where is she? She's usually here with Ysabel? Or is she somewhere else?? Hmmm? I gotta check.. I think.. she's there. Talking to a new girl. Who's she? Woah! She's pretty! I hope i didn't just show my interest... I think my eye just opened a bit. And I look like I've just been shot in the face by a nerf gun. Shook. Umm I guess I could talk to her? Just to yah know... make some friends... Here comes the Slik Man..
"um hi!" He scratches his head in embarrassment. "I'm Joey! And I guess you've met Jana! My best friend!" He looks over to her, she stared at him confused. "Hi!" The girl replies "My name's Sara! It's S A R A with no H cuz it means princess! And I'm mommy's little princess!" "So um-m Why don't u show you around the classroom and introduce to to some of my fiends! Which I'm sure you would like!"
Joey leads her to the class and puts her bag in her cubbyhole like a true gentleman. But Jana knows exactly what she's doing and is enraged by it.
"Ugh. I just guess not all loves last a life time." She sighs and walks over to the class. Saumya spots her and sees the sadness in her eyes. "What's the problem?" "Oh nothing.." Jana rolls her eyes, sits lazily and plays with her pencil. "I know when you're sad and all the alarms are flashing. You're not as dead looking as this!" "Don't bother there's nothing you can do. Anyways I'm leaving the school today..." "oh yeah.. but is there anything I could do to make you happy just before you leave!? Anything?!" "Just tell Joey that I'll miss him. And that I hope we could meet someday. Again. I hope. Anyways, I have to get work done.. I'm leaving early.." "Don't worry! Let me fix this!" "Don't bother! He has a crush on that weird new girl Sara!" "Yeh she is kinda weird.. what does he see in her! Like.. I don't get it.."
Time rushes by and Jana has to leave.. her parents stop the car right out I front of the school.
"Ok guys... we have some sad news.. Jana will be leaving today so we'll all go out for a short while and wave her goodbye." Their teacher informs them. "So is everyone here?" The teacher checks and thinks that everyone is there but Joey is outside the building doing his work as a prefect.
Jana has a sad-concerned look on her face "where's Joey?" She asks herself "its ok.." she puts her head down. She makes her way to the car looking back every second hoping to see him. But he never came...
Everyone's adrenaline starts to rush as they run around, looking to Joey. At last, Saumya finds him, grabs him and runs. The wind in their hair as they make their way to the car. The engine starts and fumes come out. Joey, with tears down his face, stops the car. Jana rolls down the car window. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Joeys face turns red "I just couldn't.. Joey.. just one thing before I leave... Do you love me?" "Yes.. of course" "good to hear" she puts her hand on his signaling him that is time to leave. The car starts to move.. "WAIT WILL WE SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN?!" Joey yells, but his voice is muffled by the cars noise. He sees it ride into the short distance.
Jana puts her head on the window. "One day"
