Chapter 12,
Deelana's POV
"Movie starts in one hour," the text from Morgan read. My small hand never left Zack's for a moment. We entered in all the stores one last time before meeting Daniel and Morgan at the theatre.
"What movie are we going to see?" I asked and Daniel placed a loving kiss on Morgan's forehead.
"The new X-Men," Morgan squealed and clapped her hands together.
"Good evening," the worker at the booth greeted me and I smiled.
"Two tickets to X-Men," Zack roared and I patted his shoulder. The worker typed away in his computer as Zack paid for the both of us.
As we stood in line for popcorn, Zack grew impatient. I saw his knuckles clench when I spotted Dylan. I waved frantically at him to notice me and when he did, I gave him a friendly hug. Not too long ago, Dylan tried to make a move on me. I choose to look past that and to continue being close friends.
"What show are you going to see?" He wondered and I held up my ticket.
"So am I!" Dylan looks great wearing his lifeguard muscle shirt and it's strange to see him wearing regular clothes. I remember my first day at the pool and how Dylan showed me the ropes.
I wasn't paying attention when Zack ordered a large bag of popcorn for the both of us and a Pepsi.
"Is Coke alright?" The cashier asked and Zack's nostrils flared before mumbling a reply.
"Yes."
Dylan ordered the same and Zack followed close behind as Dylan told me about how good he heard this movie was supposed to be.
"Jennifer Lawrence is supposed to be incredibly sexy as well," I noted and Dylan laughed. When we walked in our designated room after handing our tickets to the teller, I spotted Daniel and Morgan at the back of the room making-out. I chucked a handful of popcorn at them and screamed, "Get a room!" There was nobody else in the theatre except for us five. I sat in between Dylan and Zack, an uncomfortable position. Morgan and Daniel continued to keep their hands on each other, making Dylan scoot a little closer to me on the edge of his seat.
"Popcorn?" Dylan politely offered and I shook my head.
"No thanks," I whispered. I felt Dylan's strong arm wrap around my shoulders and Zack's hand clasp my thigh, a shot of electricity screeching through my veins. I never get male attention... At least I don't think I do. I was frozen in place with Dylan's protective arm and Zack's watchful gaze on Dylan's hand.
Halfway through the movie, Daniel and Morgan got up and left, whispering words to each other and laughing. The situation got worse with Dylan, Zack, and I trapped in the theatre, hardly paying any attention to the movie.
"You look beautiful," Dylan complimented me and Zack's grip on my thigh tightened.
"Thanks," I murmured, quickly looking over at his smiling face before giving my full attention back to the screen.
"You, um look... Erm... Good," Zack whispered in my ear and I flushed. Zack can be romantic when he wants to be, but he can be a dick often.
"Thanks," I mouthed and he placed his hand in the popcorn, throwing a few into his mouth and completely missing. I held back a laugh at Zack's sad reaction of the popped kernels tumbling to the ground. Dylan's arm tightened it's clasp making me even more uncomfortable.
In the meantime, a muscular bald man sat across the theatre abruptly wearing a plain black and white suit and tie. I noticed the scars on his knuckles wrapped around his drink immediately. What a strange character! Who comes to the movies wearing a suit and tie?
