Chapter Fifteen

"Gabby stop swinging your sword everywhere or you're going to break something" I called out hearing her running around giggling and screaming hiya as I walked back in the living room. 

I smiled pulling my phone out to get some pictures of her. Just as I did, the front door opened and in walked Harry. I mean Superman. I froze up looking him over shocked. Oh my God.

"Daddy" Gabby cheered out running over to him. He smiled dropping the bags in his hand and scooping up her kissing her head. He looked back at me as I couldn't stop watching him in shock at this costume.

"Never thought you would see me in a Superman suit again huh?" he teased and I nodded agreeing. Not after high school. He looked good then but, even better now. More built and more mature, hell he looked better than Henry Cavill.

"She saw our picture at home and asked me to dress up, it was the only costume I would agree on anyway" he said shrugging. "Well you look good-" "Yeah but, I would look better with my sidekick" he said picking up the bags and passing it to me as I looked at him confused.

Sidekick?


I opened the bag seeing a wonder woman costume and I just chuckled to myself shaking my head. I couldn't do anything but just look at the costume then him seeing him smiling hard knowing how hard it would be to say no now.

"I can't believe you..." "You thought I would take no? Princess tell mommy you want her to go with us. She's going to be Wonder Woman" he said excited making her even more excited. She looked over at me pouting giving me puppy eyes.

"Please mommy. Come with us" she begged. He mimicked her pout and I just sighed closing my eyes. Can I really say no now?

"Fine..." I whispered grabbing the bags and heading to my room to get changed. I know I wouldn't look like Gal Gadot but, I would do this for my baby. Once I finished getting dressed, I let my hair out letting my natural curls fall to my shoulders.

I looked one more time in the mirror before heading out to see them waiting for me. Gabby reacted first hopping off of Harry to run to me jumping. "You look so pretty mommy" she said excitedly as I laughed squatting down to her.

"Thank you baby" I whispered kissing her head looking up to see him standing there smiling. I stood up in silence as he looked over me stunned. "Beautiful" was all that left his lips before he grabbed his phone and, turned into a photographer.

I lost count of all the pictures he took of us.

"I knew it, making this a family outing would be better than..." he trailed off not finishing his sentence as I looked over to him confused. I looked down at Gabby smiling acting as if I didn't notice this mess up but, I did and it made me wonder what was up with him.

"You two look so cute together"An older lady dressed as a cat lady said walking past us. I just smiled thanking her before looking over at him as he looked down at me giving a smirk. "And you didn't want to come" he teased nudging me making me laugh and nod.

"Well, I'm happy I did, thank you for inviting me" I whispered looking into his bright green eyes as he looked into mine. He nodded smiling but before he could say anything, we were interrupted by another lady. This time she was dressed as Madonna in her vogue phase.

"This is the cutest couple costume. Definitely, have to vote for you two" she said excited. I smiled nodding "Thank you... but we're not-" "Thank you...we really appreciate it" Harry said cutting me off before I knew it, she was disappearing into the crowd leaving us there looking at each other.

"They don't care if we're together, just take the compliment. Maybe we'll win best costume" he smiled shrugging as my phone vibrated in my purse. I checked it quick as sighed seeing his name. Tyler.
