Alyson, Seriously? Two Marysue Points Added. I bet she hates her name, every cliche character hates their name, if I were her I'd hate everything about myself. And her nicknames mostly have nothing to do with her actual name, so cliche. I would also like to comment on her last name, Smith. So original! And definitely not a cliche white girl name. Nothing wrong with white characters but if you have her drinking pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks in a messy bun I'm going to scream. Try writing about a black character or a Japanese character or a Latina character, the list goes on. And if you are going to try to write a character of a different race do your research and don't use stereotypes.
