Chapter 1
I pulled up into the large building, parking my gray car. Today was my first day at University and I was pretty excited. I've been waiting for this day since I graduated from high school. Plus I get to spend this journey with my best friend, Julie. And so we both get out of car after minutes of slience, getting our suitcases from the trunk, walking towards what I am assuming is the front door. We had our messy buns on the top of our heads, sweatpants, and baggy shirts. What normal teenagers would wear, since I'm guessing that's what is "in" right now.I, along with Julie, was relatively tired. I couldn't get a blink of sleep last night. My thoughts keeping me up, and I knew today would be a long day. I need coffee. Urgently.Tomorrow, Sunday, we get our schedules, and we start class on Monday. We finally reached the front entrance. I opened the door as the cool breeze hit my face, thanking the school for having working A/C. We went to the front desk where a middle-aged woman stood, typing away on the computer.
"Umm...excuse me?" I said trying to sound polite.
"Yes?" the woman turned towards me.
"Where do we check in for our dorms?" I asked.
"What's your name?" she asked.
"Charlotte Johnson?" I said which sounded more like a question.
"You are in dorm 409 on the fourth floor" she replied while highlighting my name on a piece of paper. Must be hard to find me since this school had over a thousand students. I thanked her and turned to my best friend whom I've known since 6th grade.
"I'm heading to my dorm. Text me when you settle into yours?" I asked.
"Sure" she answered sleepily. I walked my way towards the elevator, my suitcase rolling behind me. I waited for the doors to open after pushing the little up arrow and walked inside. I pushed the number 4 on the panel, and I let my thoughts drift me away. I wonder whom my roomate might be? Let's just pray to God she's not a bitch. The sound of the elevator made me snap into reality , and it revealed the back side of a boy. I tried to walk around him, but as soon as he turned around, he hit the corner of my suitcase. The suitcase whirled towards me and hit my knee, which resulted of me stumbling backwards, hitting my ass on the hard floor.
"Holy shit are you okay ?" an unfamiliar voice said. I looked up to see blue eyes staring back into mine. He had messy brown hair, his blue eyes popping out. He was wearing a red flannel with a white undershirt, black jeans, and red vans. I got to say, he is pretty hot.
"Uhh, yeah. the floor needed a hug, its always lonley" I said as I tapped the floor with my right hand. Always being stupidly awkward. He cracked a smile and held his left hand out. I gatefully took it with my left hand, as warmth embraced my cold hand .
"Thanks." I smiled back. He gave me the handle of my suitcase, and walked in the elevator. As the doors were about to close, he gave me a genuine smile and was no longer seen. I turned my face towards the hallway to try to look for my dorm, but my thoughts of that mysterious boy blocked the way. I just had a feeling that I would see him once again.
