Michael
I finished getting ready when Virginia walked out with Michelle. She was in a white, lace dress, her hair in beach waves and the white heels she bought earlier today.
"You ready to go?" I asked her as she walked over to me. She nodded and Leo and my other bodyguard, Euclid started walking us out of the apartment. We walked on to the elevator and then my phone started ringing. Khaled. I answered it.
"Wassup DJ?" I asked. He started laughing.
"Wazzam? So, you bringing anyone to the awards?" He asked me. I looked at Virginia.
"Yes sir. I'm bringing my daughter." I said.
"I finally get to meet her." He said. I nodded, even though he couldn't see me.
"Yes sir you do, ayo listen though, I'll catch u when we get there." I got off the elevator along with Virginia.
"Alright brother. Catch you in a minute." Euclid opened the SUV door and Virginia got in first. I hung up the phone and got in the truck.
Virginia
We pulled up to this red carpet with red velvet rope and gold poles that were probably up to my hip. How the hell is that supposed to keep people back? Behind the rope were tons of paparazzi and fans.
Leo opened the door and Michael got out first. I got out next with Euclid helping me out. I said thank you then started walking beside Michael.
Michael over here!
Michael, who is this lovely lady beside you?
Hey sweetheart, what's your name?
Those were few of the things people were saying to Michael and I. Soon, we made it to the fans. The fans would ask him for a picture and an autograph. Some even asked me to get in a picture with them and others asked me and Michael together.
This was all new to me, but I was starting to get a feel for it. This place was gorgeous honestly. Marble floor, another red carpet to a white back drop having writing on it, screaming fans, and awesome celebrities.
No wonder my mother never told me about Michael. This man was a star who had cameras in his face almost every single day.
"Ready to meet your grandparents and other relatives?" Michael asked me. My eyes widened. I totally forgot I was meeting the rest of my dad's side.
I looked at Leo, to look for something to say, but he was too busy trying to get people to stop trying to cross the velvet rope.
"Sure?" I didn't mean for it to come out as a question, but it just sort of did. He smiled and we walked up to THE Michael Jordan, who I will gladly brag about because this man is one of the reasons I actually play basketball. He's an inspiration to me.
"Hey Dad." Michael said. My grandfather turned around and hugged Michael.
"Hey son, who's this yound lady?" My grandfather asked. Michael looked at me and I just looked anywhere, but the two of them.
"Dad, this is your granddaughter, Virginia." Michael said. My grandfather looked at me and smiled. He opened his arms up for me and I gladly took the hug.
