Virginia
I woke up to my phone chirping every 4 seconds. I grabbed my phone and looked at it.
@mikebjordan mentioned you in a tweet.
I rolled my eyes and opened up Twitter. I had 500 notifications on Twitter. I went to my dad's account and see what he mentioned me in.
@mikebjordan: I enjoy having my daughter here 24/7 @vajordan.
I commented on the tweet then turned my phone on silent, and tried calling back asleep. I was almost all the way to sleep until I heard banging on my door. I groaned and got up.
"Who is it?!" I yelled. I heard a chuckle.
"It's the police." I heard Tariq say. I opened the door and saw him. I squealed and hugged him.
"I missed you." I said and he chuckled while holding me.
"I can tell, now you finna let my black ass in or you just finna let me stand out here in the heat?" He asked. I let him in and he brought his luggage in.
"I thought you were moving out here.." I said very confused about what was going on.
"I am, I'm moving in with you." He said. My eyes went wide and I hugged him again.
Michael
Iwas on when I saw that Virginia commented on the tweet I mentioned her in.
"Michael, are you okay?" My mother said. I turned my phone off.
"Uh, yeah, just looking at a comment on Twitter." I stated.
My parents still didn't agree with me that Virginia was my daughter. My mom was more upset that Virginia came right out of nowhere.
"A comment from who?" My father asked. I looked at him.
"Virginia." I said. He scoffed and then continued eating.
"Dad, what's your problem with her? She's my daughter and there's nothing you can do about it." I stated angrily.
"I don't have a problem with her I have a problem with the mother of your daughter." He said.
"Farrah? Farrah is dead, why do you hate my daughter because of her?" I was getting beyond pissed.
"Virginia resembles her and you don't know Virginia might become like her mother, remember like mother like daughter." My mother says. My eyes widened.
"So, you're calling the woman I loved and my daughter sluts?" I raised my eyebrow.
"If you wanna put it like that then yeah." My mother said while my father nodded. I stood up from the table.
"Until you two learn to get a grip of this situation and learn to know your granddaughter then please do not talk to me." I stated. I walked out of their house and got in my car.
I called Virginia to see what she was up to.
"Hello?" She said.
"Hey, what are you and Tariq up to?" I asked.
"Moving him in, why?" She asked. I heard a boy day ohhhh yeahhhh in the background followed by Virginia's laugh.
"Um, just wondering, I was going to a movie premier for my friend and wanted to know if you two wanted to go." I said while stopping at a stop sign. I heard them talking.
"Yeah, sure, what time?" She asked.
"Be ready by 5:45, Leo will pick you up." I stated driving again and I heard a thud.
"Virginia, what happened?" I asked panicking. I heard her laughing hysterically along with another person laughing.
"I-I-I'm fine, I j-just tripped o-over a box." She said through her laughter.
"You know today is mother's day dad, right?" She asked. I nodded, even though she couldn't see me.
"Yeah. I was just with your grandmother." I stated.
"Oh." The line went quiet.
"I'm sorry Virginia." I stated.
"It's okay. I'll see you later tonight, love you." Before I could say anything, she hung up.
Well, I just messed with my daughter's feelings.
