Chapter 14

"So you now have one day left with him? What are you doing here with me then?" Alexa commented on my story about Cameron moving as we sat in the rain in the middle of the quiet tar road in front of her house.

"You should be with him." She said.

"I know. But what about Liam? Who am I even dating if I am dating one of them."

"Um, maybe both."

"So what? I'm fucking cheating?"

Alexa shrugged as the rain dripped off her soaked blonde hair.

I grabbed her wrist and checked the time on her watch.

"I've got two hours before he leaves." I said.

"Go. I'll talk to Christian and see what he says about Liam."

I smiled and kissed Alexa on her cheek.
That's what a best friend is for.

I ran to the bus stop and jumped straight into a taxi which a lady was about to get into, pushing her out the way.

"Go." I told the taxi driver.

I probably looked like a fricken zombie with my makeup smudged all over my face.

"You're wet." The taxi driver said.

"And you wish you were." I made a dirty joke but stayed without a smile.

"Thank you." I threw cash, about R100 to the driver. It was all I had.

I got out the car and sprinted to Cameron who was packing boxes into the back of a car.

"Cameron!" I shouted from the distance.
Running on the wet tar road.

He turned around at the call of his name.

"Miley?"

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I carried on running.
He started to walk towards me until I was stopped suddenly in the grab of his arms.

He held my waist and my crying eyes looked into his. His eyes were full of confusion and shatter.

"I love you Cameron. I can't let you leave." I said, still crying and holding his arms.

"I'm sorry Miley. I love you too but it's something I have to do."

He grabbed me closer and I kissed his lips. Deepening the kiss as the rain trickled down our skin.

Wow this was romantic.
My heart felt warm as I held his face.

We stopped kissing after sometime and I put my arms around his neck and he lifted me up to my legs were around his waist and we stayed like this, hugging close and tight.

"Goodbye Cameron." I said as he put me down.

"You'll always be with me, wherever I go." He said.

I sniffed, trying to hold my tears as I turned around to walk away.

I walked until the end of the road before I turned around to barley see Cameron through the hard falling rain.

I winded my eyes and could make out that he had kissed his hand and put it up to face me.
I did the same to him and turned around again.

The one day it rains, I have no way to get to no where.

I just walked, not really knowing where to, just following my feet.

My head down as I dragged myself across the road.

I took my phone out my back pocket and let the rain drop onto it as I checked my notifications.
