Chapter 26

"I'm going to the doctor today, I have to start chemo therapy." Alexa rolled her eyes, "I won't be back at school for a few months."

"Does that mean you won't be joining us at the party tonight?" I asked.

She shook her head, "I'm afraid not."

"I'm can't party without you." I sulked.

"You better learn because I won't be joining you in another one, ever." She looked down.

"You're not going to die," I grabbed her hands, "Be positive for once." I rolled my eyes.

She smiled, "I'll try."

"Well I'll be there to visit, just tell me when." I said before walking away.

"Miley, where are you going?" My mom asked as I walked down the stairs.

"Oh, I'm going to Jayne. Didn't I tell you?" I answered.

"All dressed up?" She asked.

"Mom this isn't even dressed up."

"Well you've got a full face of makeup."

"We're doing a photo shoot." I lied again.

"Oh, have fun then."

I rushed out the door.

I stood in front of the door before entering the party, deciding if u really wanted to be here.

Come on, it's Friday night. I haven't got anything else to do..

I walked in to see a lot of familiar faces.

"Miley!" Jayne ran over.
"You're looking hot." She smiled.

"You too." I laughed.

"I'll see you in a while, I'm gonna look for Logan."

"Your skirt is hella short. I like it." Someone grabbed my waist from behind.

I turned around, startled.

"You're face is pretty nice to look at too." He said.

I smiled. It was Jacob.

"Want a drink?" He asked.

"I'd love one." I smiled.

He took my hand and we walked to a table full of drinks.

He passed me a glass and I took a sip before I was pulled to the dance floor, putting my drink down as I walked.

"Like to dance?" The guy who had taken me there asked.

"Yeah, just not with you." I turned around and walked back to where Jacob had just been, except he wasn't there anymore.

I picked up my drink and walked outside, that's where he caught my eyes.

I walked over to him, he was sitting  on a swing, sipping his drink.
