The journey

Yugi's POV

We're almost at school. Joey en Malik are fooling, racing and joking around. Me and Ryou are just talkin what we're going to see when we're at the surface. "I don't now Yugi, there is a reason that only four teenagers can go... I have heard terrible story's of monsters who killed our people. I'm just scared that something is going to happen..." Ryou looked at me with a scared look. "Ryou I promise you, as long as we stick together, nothing bad is going to happen. And otherwise, we have a necklaces so we can always find each other!" I don't now who I'm trying to convince, Ryou of myself... "Hurry up u guys!! We're going to be late!" Joey yelled while he tried to get Malik to swim faster.

~Time skip~(on school)

"And here are the four brave students who are going to the surface today!! Can you introduce yourself?" The principal said in a microphone. "Yug, got this!" Joey whispered. "Umhhh.. H-hi I'm Yugi and this are Joey, Malik and Ryou... were all s-seventeen years old e-except Joey who is eighteen." I said,trying not to stutter. Than the principal spoke again: "Okay you brave hero's, go to classroom 3, there are backpacks on the tables and there are also some weapons so you can defend yourselves." "Defend ourself... I don't like were this is going" The Egyptian merman said. "I now bud same here" Joey said while he took the lead. Malik took Ryou by his hand and Ryou took my hand. "Joey wait up!" Malik yelled. When we arrived at the classroom, we couldn't believe our eyes. There were swords,knifes and our bags. There were also some posions, very handy if your going to a unknown place. "I-i don't like this Yugi.." Ryou said while his already light face became even lighter. "It's going to be okay Ryou, me and Joey now how to fight!" Marik said while he hugged Ryou from behind. I'm happy that are bond remains the same after all these years. We grew up together... At a young age my parents died in the seabattle... Malik never even new his parents... Joey lost his parents and a few days later his baby sister... And Ryou's parents left him to ga and hide and are never seen again. When my grandpa heard about this he decided that he would adopt Malik,Ryou and Joey..... life was pretty normal.. until now.

~time skip~

We were almost at the surface... me and Ryou are getting tired.. "Y...Yugi.. can we stop for a minute please?" Ryou said. "Y-yeah I'm getting tired to.. Malik, Joey can we stop for a moment" I say. "Yeah we can take a little break, Joey you got food in your bag?" Malik said looking a little worried at me and Ryou. "Yeah bud I think I hav some in my bag!" Joey said while he gave his bag to Malik. "Okay I got some sandwiches? Who wants some?" Malik said while he gave a sandwich to Joey. "Yeah sure, Yugi are we almost there?" Ryou said when he took a sandwich from Malik. I took the sandwich from Malik and felt a lot better right away. "Well Ryou I think we're close, look the light is much brighter here." I said, eating my sandwich. "What do you guys think what we're going to find when were at the surface? I heard some crazy stories" Malik said. "Yeah but you like the crazy things Malik!" Ryou said with a big smile on his face. I chuckle, it's true, Malik has a strange thing for crazy people and things. "Okay guys it's time to go and discover the surface!!" I said trying to lighten the tens mood.

~Le time skip~

We're almost at the surface... we can see the sun from here. "Okay guys here we go..." I said taken my friends by there hands. Holding each other's hands we swam to the surface......
We closed our eyes, the sun was to bright.. when we slowly open our eyes we were amazed by the beauty of the surface.. the sun,beautiful waves and the sky... Never even in my wildest dreams I ever dreamed of something so beautiful!

"OwhMyRa this is so awesome!!" Malik said squeezing my hand. Ryou's eyes sparkled at the beauty of the sky. I don't blame him.. we never saw the sky... It's even more colourful than I could ever dream of... "I don't wane spoile the fun, but it's going to be night soon. When have to find a place to sleep." Joey said looking at the setting sun. "Good idea Joey, we have to find a place were we are safe." Ryou said looking around. "We just have to find a place we're we fit all together."
Mermaids and merman have to have physical contact to feel save. So they normally sleep in each other's arms. It's very normal for a pack of travelling Mermans to sleep in a pile. "Over there!!" Malik yelled before swimming away. I sigh before trying to catch up with Malik. Ra he swims fast!! When we arrived at the place that Malik picked, we dropped our stuff and made it comfortable. When we were set to go to bed, we cuddled up in one big pile. We stared at the sun, before it was gone. I closed my eyes and drifted in a peaceful slumber.

So this was the 3de chapter!!! In the next chapter the guys are finally going to meet each other!! Yeeehhh hope you like the story so far!! Xxxx
