He woke up. That was weird, he couldn't remember anything. His room was in total disarray, and he knew that his powers were acting up again. He sighed and looked at his calendar. Only.......a few......crap. Today was his birthday. That meant that today,
"Rise and shine, Butterfly!!!!"
He let out a groan. That was grandma, otherwise known as Lady Jasmine. She wasn't really his grandma, but she practically raised him.
"Today you need to find your team!"
"Yes grandma, I know"
"Don't sass me!! If you knew you'd already be out and doing it!!"He sighed as she left and got ready.

He stepped out of the shower feeling calm and relaxed, which was good because that was exactly how he needed to feel in order to get into his grandmother's quarters. He approached the door and raised his hand to knock and paused. The door was already open.
"Esmerelda told me that you were coming"
Ah. Esmeralda. Esmerelda was his grandmothers shadow. She was always "helping" around the house.
"Ah."
"Now sit down, I need to tell you something."
He sat down.
Everybody in these secluded slums of New Orleans knew that whenever Lady Jasmine told you to sit, you sat.
"I shall now tell you the story of the Elementals"
"I already kn-"
She glared at him. He winced and closed his mouth.
"FOOLISH BOY! You only know the sugary version that I told you when you were a child. Did you know that they were originally evil."
He sat, mouth gaping, and speechless.
"Exactly, now hush"
