A/N: elementals can have children no matter their partner; just roll with it and blame their powers.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Once upon a time, there lived four special beings. They had control over the four elements. When these powers were originally revealed, they were called the chosen ones, there to help the earth, the animals, the people. They did not live up to those expectations; In fact, they did the exact opposite.

The Flame used her powers to cause destruction. The Wave used her powers to demolish. The Wind used his powers to spread diseases and , 'relocate' things. The Earth used his powers to kill anyone who dared to enter his domain, which was basically everywhere. Many were sent to destroy the Wicked Ones, as they were now called, and just as many died in the attempt.
One woman was sent to destroy them and for the first time in ages, was sent back, whole, on the very same day. The village was confused and pleased. The elder blamed that fact that they had sympathized with a woman, though they had never done so before.
The Flame was, intrigued, with her. She was the only one who was currently in her quarters and had sent the stubborn woman back to her village with the promise of meeting her that night. That foolish, beautiful mortal, who would look absolutely majestic bearing her children.

They met up that night. In a cave that she herself had claimed after seeing the Earths greedy look. Who could blame him? It was cozy and spacious at the same time and moss hung over the entrance. The only reason she had been allowed to claim it was because she claimed that the hot springs around the cave erupted the same way volcanoes did. An idiotic argument, but the Wind was in a particularly good mood that day and allowed.
"Um, miss......
"Flame"
"Miss Flame, what are we doing her"
She sat at a rock and stared. The Flame herself had no idea why she had proposed this night at this place.
"I would like to know more about you"
"Okay"
And that started a friendship that soon blossomed in to more. One night they lay huddled together in that magnificent cave, and
"Alexandra"
"Huh?
"My name is Alexandra."
"It suits you, darling"
"Don't get cocky, Emily"
"Mmmmkay
......
"Lexy"
She couldn't remember laughing so hard in her life. They fell in love, got (unofficially) married and, had one child. With the mortals chocolate skin and the goddesses golden eyes.

She had brought up on passing to the others about having children. She had been answered with laughs and exclamations of new slaves.
Disgusting. She was surprise when the Waves had come to her pregnant and wailed about how it would be received by the others. The others couldn't do a thing. The Wind has gotten a partner pregnant and the Earth was pregnant. Givers of life indeed. They each had their children and the Flames was surprised when she found out that the others were going to go through with the slave plan.
They were dead the next day and she had taken all their children.
Her lover was ecstatic and had vowed to raise them all as her own.

And then the transformation happened. She knew that the next generation had gotten the full elemental powers and that the next generations would continue to. There was no such thing as a half elemental. But there was also no such thing as two of the same elementals living at the same time. She had slowly molded in front of her wife's very eyes from The Flame, to the newly dubbed Shadow.

She could control shadows and darkness easily and used her powers to guide the children. When she and her wife died peacefully, with their children, and grandchildren alike, they mourned. The next generation was faced with a similar chain of events, when the other elementals died, the last one would raise the next Generation and so on. They always had children, sometimes out of necessity and sometimes out of true love.

I was of the last generation. I was the Earth, and you are the Wind.
The Wind Leads.
The Waves strategizes.
The Flames protect.
And the Earth is fluid.
You need to find your time and continue the story that has gone on for generations.
The story is not over for you must continue it,
Little Butterfly. "
"Wow"
"Yes indeed."
.......
"No go to school. "
"Yes, mam. "
