The walk started out awkward, well as awkward as it could get until Maddie broke the silence.

"So Alex... how's life on earth?" Maddie asked.

"Good I guess." Alex replied. "Except for some... stuff."

"What do you mean stuff?" Maddie asked again.

"Well... first my father died, and second there's this guy who keeps bullying me."

"That's awful." Maddie said. "As for the bullies, I'd just kick their sorry butts."

"Haha, I wish I was as brave as you." Alex muttered, only enough for Maddie to hear.

"You are as brave as me." Maddie said. "I mean first time you came here you were calmer than a flower swaying in the wind. If I was in your situation, I'd scream at the top of my lungs like a crazy person. Which I am..."

Alex figured out that Maddie was really talkative. I'm starting to like this girl-- I mean not like-like her, just you know. Oh, what's the point in arguing with yourself Alex, that's just freakin' stupid.

"Yo, Alex, Alex, Alex." Maddie was waving her hand in front of Alex's eyes, who was zoned out and seemed to be deep in thought. "Dude." She poked his cheek.

"Huh?" Alex finally snapped out of his trance.

"Ya kinda zoned out. What's up?" Maddie asked.

"Nothing." Alex said. Maddie just decided to let it slide and walk on.

A few minutes later...

(A/N: Say this in the spongebob narrator voice.

Maddie: Stop butting into the story Dez.

Author: I'm just trying to put a little  comedy into it.

Maddie: Yeah right.

Alex: Um... Can we get back to the story?

Author: Okay, fine.)

"Oh, we're here!" Maddie exclaimed.

"Woah." Alex gazed upon the small village in front of him.

"Awesome, right?" Maddie asked.

"It sure is." From the colorful houses, with different designs, to the actual people in the market dressed in crazy costumes, Awesome wasn't enough to describe the village.

"Wanna tour around?" Maddie asked.

"Sure."

They stepped to a peculiar looking fountain with, it had a lot of different colors on the outside, almost like dress patterns? What the heck? And on top was a teapot pouring normal-looking water.

"This is the Fountain of Fashion, it is said that the water from the fountain helps you blend into any environment." Maddie explained.

"How exactly?" Alex asked.

"Like this." As she said this, she used her hand as a cup, and scooped some water from the fountain and POOF!

"What the hell?" Alex asked in confusion.

Maddie was now in a costume as crazy as the villagers. What with the hat with a lion head on top which was actually roaring. Then there was the dress, it was a bit below the knees and the sleeves were only reaching Maddie's elbows, it was colored midnight blue and was actually displaying some actual colorful fireworks. And lastly, the shoes which had a purplish-blue color, had wings on the sides of it and actually helped Maddie float a few inches from the ground.
