Sans was walking alone today. Alphys had work, as did Toriel at the embassy with Frisk. Undyne was at work at the lab. Asgore was at school late, and Papyrus was working late too. He remembered their chat last night when they got home.
*Flashback*
"sans, I think we need to talk about earlier today." Papyrus sat at the table, drinking honey.
"HM? WHAT ABOUT IT, PAPY" Sans stirred the beef in front of him, carefully monitoring the cooking process as his new instructor taught him.
"why did you ignore Al when she asked you to stay away from that lady?"
"BECAUSE ALPHYS WAS BEING RUDE! ___ GAVE US NO REASON TO BE HOSTILE TOWARDS HER, AND SHE WAS VERY NICE WHEN I SPOKE WITH HER. SHE EVEN PAID FOR MY FOOD AT THE CAFE WHEN THE CASHIER COULDN'T CONVERT MY CURRENCY!"
"well, just be careful bro. we all worry about each other, including you. she just wants to keep everyone safe, okay?"
"*SIGH* ALRIGHT PAPY. ILL BE CAREFUL." He took care to manipulate his words so he seemed compliant without promising to stay away.
*End*
____ called out to him as he walked. He felt a rush of guilt for a split second, pretending to ignore her, but pushed it down. ____ seemed nice, and her soul had no LV or EXP, so she was perfectly fine! He turned towards her, running over. "HI ____!" She smiled, leading him into the cafe for a chat before he had to head home. He didn't like teleporting home, it was too lazy in his opinion (he couldn't afford to be lazy), but he needed to get home before Papyrus, so he'd have to today. He smiled at her as they headed to a table. This was going to be nice!
