It takes only a second for one thing to go wrong. It takes a minute for sixty things to go wrong. Now hours have gone by. Tell me, how many things do you think went wrong? You've guessed it, if sixty things go wrong in one minute, multiply that by sixty, three times. You should get 10,800, if you used a handy dandy calculator. I don't know about you, but that is a lot. Trust me, it goes higher and higher, then explodes when it gets close to space.
I don't know where in this story I'm telling, and in the three hours of isolation-ish, where everything went to, excuse my French, shit. I'm just going to wing it, like I wing my eyeliner (I'm soooo funnyyy, kmn). So, I'm just going to skip over the three great hours (note the sarcasm, insert heavy eye role), I had by myself, and go straight to the juicy stuff. And by juicy, I mean the really not cool, not so great, pretty fricked up stuff.

"I cannot believe that you showed her around the base!" Yells a very angry father of mine. I roll my eyes. He sees and I swear his face went ten shades darker red than it already was. "Young lady, you don't understand the safety violations that has just happened. We were under attack!"
I sigh. "Yeah, and if I wasn't with Elias than I would've died. Not to be dramatic, but I probably would be."
"Adrian, you don't understand. I'm just trying to protect you!" He let out a frustrated breathe.
"Oh, now you want to play father?" I shake my head. "It's not that easy, dad." I spit out.
"Yes, it is," he insisted. "If you would just be open minded and let me tell my side of the story." His face softened and went down a couple shades closer to his natural skin color. "The truth."
I hesitated. "I'm not sure I want to know the truth. I don't even know if I can trust you." A vein began to pop out of his temple, so I quickly added, "just let me think about for a little bit."
He sighed and nodded. "You're as difficult as your mother." He laughs and I smile sadly at the thought of my mother, and how much I miss her.
"I know. I know." He sighed and turned to Elias with an angry face but softer. "Please take her to the mess hall. Make sure she eats." Elias nods as a sign of respect and turns towards me. "Ready?"
I smile. It so easy to forget all your troubles when you look at his face. "Lead the way."
"Goodbye Addie. Don't forget to think about it."I pause, but I leave without saying anything. He knows I heard him. That nickname. I've heard that before. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. But I shook it off and pushed it to the back of my mind.
We'd arrived to the mess hall. There is not a lot of people in here; just a few dotted around the room. Another thing I noticed about the room was that it looked damaged. Like it has been wrecked in a fight. Which makes sense, since there was a fight in the base not too long ago.
Elias pulled me towards a wall and there was a free-for-all buffet. The amount of food that was in front of me was... Ugh, I can't even think about it without my mouth watering. There was a range from hot food to cold to warm-ish, greens to not so greens, pasta, and so much cheese. It was basically carbs with a side of carbs, with another side of carbs, and a few greens. A healthy diet right here.
