Miya's Point of View

My oppa's were all helping me finding an outfit. I wanted today to be perfect (even though Jackson was the one thing that could ruin everything). I picked a summer dress and my black converse. But Jimin said to wear a sweater just in case.

    "Oppa...I don't think I'll need it.."

"Wear it for my sake then please!!"

When Jimin gives you the puppy dog eyes, you can never say no. So I picked out a light white sweater for his peace of mind. But then RM popped in saying how Jackson will be there any minute. Ugh I was so nervous.

"We're just a phone call away if anything goes wrong." RM said while giving me a hug.

I heard a knock at the door and started to say goodbye to the guys. I ran to the door and gave Jin a kiss on the cheek while leaving the dorms. I was just so nervous. But Jackson wasn't helping with the silent treatment all the way there. The tension in the car was unbearable. I was about to jump out the car until it thankfully stopped at a large home. It was in an expensive neighborhood. You know those neighborhoods where all the houses looked the same with the perfect yard and nothing out of place? Yeah it was one of those houses. I stepped out of the car and just stood there. I really couldn't move. Was I even breathing?

"Come on! You just going to stand there like an idiot?"

Well that snapped me out of my trance thanks to Jackson. I rolled my eyes while he opened the door. Inside was just as magnificent as the outside looked. Wooden floors, grand staircase, probably 100 rooms, etc.

I was just walking around to see how gorgeous this house was. I'm a sucker for a gorgeous house.

"Mom! Dad! You here? I need to see you in the living room."

Not long after Jackson said that I heard a woman coming down the stairs saying,

"Oh Jackson I'm so glad you...found her"

She was beautiful. A woman maybe around mid-late 40s came in. In a beautiful attire and just stared at me. She then fell to the ground and started to cry. I then heard running from someone larger.

    "Sophia! Sweetie you alright?!"

"It's her!! It's really her!" The woman said sobbing.

The man finally looked up to see me. His eyes shot open and he froze in place it seems.

    "Um hi. I'm Miya.''

The woman then shot up from the ground and walked to me. She seemed so scared that if she approached too quickly that I might run. She gently put her hand on my cheek and looked at into my eyes. She was my height and long black hair. She then smiled and hugged me like her life depended on this hug. She then cried saying how sorry she was.

"I'm so sorry!! I'm such a horrible mom. What kind of parent could just let her beautiful daughter go. I couldn't even see you as a baby because...I just couldn't. I'm so sorry Miya!"

I hugged her back and tried to hold back my tears. This is what I've been missing for 18 years? I could never blame her though. She wasn't a bad mom. She was in a rough place and just wanted me to have a life she couldn't give. That right there just proves how strong they were.

The man then got up and took me in his arms. He was a lot taller and muscular. He had short black hair and it was starting to grey a little. He then grabbed my face and smiled.

"You look like your mother when she was your age. Those are the eyes that I looked into for three days. I'm so sorry Miya. I almost didn't let you go. I soothed you everytime you cried. I held you everyday because I never knew when I would ever get the chance to hold you again. We are such terrible people. We wanted you. I swear we did. But what kind of parents would we be if we couldn't feed you at the time. I'm so sorry."

I wiped the tears falling from the man's eyes. The woman came and hugged my side. We finally all sat down while answering their questions.

"How did you find us? We didn't think you wanted anything to do with us." My mom said.

"Remember Yuna? She was your nurse at the hospital. She remembered you and I showed her my adoption papers and she helped me a lot. Her husband was a personal investigator and found where you all lived. Well mostly stuff about Jackson. But in the beginning I never knew I was adopted. I found out when growing up I didn't look like my adoptive family, but I found all the paper work a few weeks ago."

"Were they nice people?'' My dad asked.

How do you tell them that my adoptive family never loved me? You don't. You lie because they don't need to feel bad on giving you up.

"They kept me alive. Put me through schooling and dance classes."

I know I averted the question a little but that's all they need to know. I'm alive.
