CHAPTER TWO

"Wake up, Lana." Elli opened her eyes to see a butler holding a plate of pancakes. "My name isn't Lana," Elli mumbled crossly.  My name isn't Lana. "hm?" He said. "I'm Elli, not Lana," Elli tried explaining. I'm Elli, Not Lana. The butler and the maid exchanged a concerned look. "call in the nurse," the maid whispered to the butler. "I'm FINE," Elli insisted. I'm FINE. However, they both ignored her and Elli spent four hours in the doctor's office.

Amber sighed. Elli's not answering her phone... is that good or bad?? Amber thought. "oh well," she mumbled. "I'll try again in an hour," she decided. 

TWO HOURS LATER

Elli checked her phone. you have 13 missed calls from Amber. She heard knocking at her door. "come in!" she called. Derek stepped in. "oh, it's you.." Elli mumbled. Oh, it's you.. "what was that?" Derek asked. "nothing," Elli said quickly. Nothing. "okay..?" Derek said, confused. "well, I was wondering if you'd like to go a restaurant with me." "like a date??" Elli asked. Like a date?? Derek looked taken back. "uh- uhh no way!" "good. I'll be there at 7:00." 

"hey!" Elli called, waving. Hey! "hey," Derek said. "so where are we going?" Elli asked. so where are we going? "I was thinking.... Ricky's Diner?" He said thoughtfully. Elli's smile froze on her face.  that's where Lana and Derek has their first kiss!! she thought. oh well...I can avoid a kiss. "okay," she said, walking with Derek. 

"we'll have two milkshakes...chocolate, please.. and the One piece-steak, and fries with Dalieen Sauce." Derek ordered. "are you paying with cash or a card?" The bored cashier asked. "Cash." Derek handed the money. "soo... Lana?" Elli groaned. "what's wrong?" Derek asked. "I don't know WHY people keep calling me Lana. My real name is Elli." She fumed. I don't know WHY people keep calling me Lana. My real name is Elli. "oh, really?" Derek asked, amused. "lemme guess. you think I'm becoming crazy just like the butler and the maid." Elli said, ignoring the bold letters in front of her. I'm on a DATE with the cutest character in the movie!! Elli was screaming in her head. "Uh, Elli? ELLI?" Derek waved his hand in front of her face. Elli broke out of her trace. "huh? oh, yeah! What is it?" she asked. Huh? oh, yeah! what is it? "our food is here." Derek said, pointing to the waitress. Elli's phone rang. "who's that?" Derek asked before eating his steak. "It's..." Elli stared at her phone. it's... Derek saw her mouth immediately go into a frown. "who?" he repeated. "It's Matthew." She said. it's Matthew. "Matthew who??" Derek asked, almost choking on his food. "My ex. I wonder what he wants." She explained. My ex. I wonder what he wants. "what do YOU want?" she asked crossly into the phone. what do YOU want? "No I am NOT starring in a movie. I'm on a date, you idiot." and then she hung up. no I am NOT starring in a movie. I'm on a date, you idiot. "I thought you said we weren't on a date," Derek said, faintly amused. "we're not," Elli said quickly. we're not. "I just said that to make him jealous." Elli's phone rang again. ( I'm getting tired of typing the bold letters again so just pretend that the bold letters appear in front of her.) "Gosh, why am I so busy today?!" Elli cried. "WHAT?!" she yelled into the phone. "it's amber!" "oh. sorry." Elli laughed. "Matthew said you were on a date.... who are you with?" Amber asked. "it's not a date," Derek called into the phone. "OH. MY. GOSH. IS THAT DEREK?!" Amber fangirled. "hi." Derek said. "well I gotta go now." Amber said, and hung up. "How did she know my name?" Derek asked. "it's a long story," Elli said, slumping into her seat.

(I'm actually surprised Elli's mom hasn't called her yet. lmaoo)

When Elli got to Lana's house, She was immediately escorted to a car by her maid. "where are we going?" she asked. The maid didn't answer. She recognized the mental hospital logo on the car. She wiggled her way out of the maid's arms. "I am NOT crazy." she said angrily. "Listen missy, we don't care what you think your name is. but you obviously are acting like a completely different person. These people can HELP you." the maid snapped. "I DON'T NEED HELP!!" Elli screamed. "Yes. you. DO!" the maid said, stepping towards Elli. Without thinking, Elli slapped the maid. She stumbled back, shocked. Elli was shocked about what she did. She was too surprised that she couldn't do anything when the doctor angrily grabbed her and shoved her in the car.

2 HOURS LATER

Elli was in a mental hospital lobby. The doctors were looking at her. "There's nothing physically wrong with her.." The doctor started. "That's why it's called a MENTAL hospital!" another doctor snapped. Elli burst into tears. "I'm not Lana!! I'm Elli Kellsburg! I am NOT crazy!!" she sobbed. All doctors looked at her with worry. "Put her in room 208," one of the doctors said.
